The lad on Twitter Lace Norris dropping hints all over the place that it’s Dom Telford who has had heard we are after.

Said the names he had heard were starting, confirmed it was one out of Loft and Telford and then when Telford scored against Walsall he tweeted “couldn’t make it up”

Not saying it right or wrong… but it’s certainly interesting

Probably got his info off the same person who is telling anyone who messages him,i will be very very very surprised if its him

Telford would be a good signing, but would cost a fair bit.
500k to a million i reckon but realistically I have no idea how much it would cost to buy the leagues top scorer from a team above you in the league. I don't see any chance of it happening at all

I am 95% certain its not him but he wouldn't cost anywhere near 500k as he is out of contract in a few months

Telford is the top scorer in the division for a club who just beat us and are currently above us in the table.

Why on earth would a) they sell him, and b) he come here?

The only possible factors I can see is that he's out of contract in the summer, and may have links to this area from when he was with Stoke from 2015-18. He may not want to sign a deal and Newport know this, so it's either cash in now or lose him for free. Would they sell him to a promotion rival, though? Surely not.

I don't think this would happen.

Please though lads; don't come onto a thread about transfer rumours and start bleating about people having a bit of fun with speculation. It's a fun part of being a football fan.

If I had to bet I reckon our window would look a bit like this:

In: 2 x ST, CB, FB/WB, CM

Out: Legge, Amos, Conlon (sadly), Burgess, Whitehead, Johnson (loan)

Swap Benning for Amos and I’d agree.

I haven't bleated about anything tbf as rumours are the fun of it this time of year, all i was saying is that i very much doubt its the players we have seen rumoured on here so far

We got rid of the likes of harry mckirdy whos scored AGAIN and we’re sat here with our injury ridden forward crap such as wilson and proctor, just not good enough, this squad ive said for ages is not good enough to go up, the decline has already begun and im sick of it
