I have no agenda as such, I just don't rate Clarke as a manager and am concerned for the club with him in charge of the first team. Simple enough for you?

What is this based on, Clarke’s record here last season? Or as a fan of another club do you wish the Vale to fail. Whichever way your constant sniping is baseless, and quite frankly boring.

I think R Z s comments provide a decent balance really... he may be out in a limb with the sole intention of being able to say “I told you so” if it all goes pear shape ( none of us know if it will or not) but even so a room full of people of the same opinion isn’t healthy: diversity of people (and opinion) is so important

I remember being shot down at the start of last season for saying we were too lightweight so maybe some of his comments have an elements worthy of consideration and deliberation.

anyway I think we ll be promoted by Christmas and win the fa cup with a semi final appearance in the league cup and auto glass.... we should give the Anglo-Italian a miss though 👍

Why dont you rate DC? because you have said this from the moment he came in,is it because he replaced Askey or because he came instead of a manager you wanted? I just dont get how you can come up with this from when he first comes in

If he was simply pointing out his dislike of DC that would be fine.

Its the continual underhand, troll like sniping which is annoying a significant amount of posters.

Its clearly become a game for him to pick the stupidest topic to have a go at the management team, he knows the more outlandish the claim the more people will bite.

Today’s classic was someone posting a great post about a none league specialist discussing our new additions. From what I can tell when people quote him, he has turned that into a discussion about how our youth team lost to Stafford and therefore we are in a relegation battle.

It’s ruining the forum

If thats the type of balance you want then great.

For anyone else, I would suggest the ignore list which is there for this reason.

Mmmm.... will you ignore me also for a slightly different take on things and a very much tongue in cheek appraisal of our season?

Depends if you present your opinion in an honest and not underhand way.

Whats the point of an ignore button if not to ignore people who try and turn every thread into a negative over the top attack.

If you could pay a fee to not see quotes from blocked posters I would pay triple for it.

Go on then, I'll bite. I spoke to a friend at Stafford Rangers after the match, yes I do have friends. He used to play non league football and watched Rangers almost get relegated last season. He was surprised how easily rangers won. I know we only had half a team of squad members playing but it was an unbiased opinion.

?????  was talking about the three players mentioned - Lewis Cass / Ryan Johnson and Luca Covolan and how someone in a neutral position said they were / seemed to be good signings - especially the keeper!  I couldn't care less how badly the kids lost at Stafford Rangers!

Speaking of transfer rumours, targets and new signings, anyone got a whiff of any potential activity, apart from the trialists?

This is a guy I would have loved us to have taken a punt on. All the talent in the world it seems but I can't fathom how it appears to have gone so wrong for him. Possibly another Chris Regis

Is there any point to a discussion forum if everyone has to have the same opinion?

Of course having different opinions is fine, for example the debate on the Euro 2020 thread about the merits of Southgate. We disagree, but are putting our cases forward rationally, with decent evidence-based points made (and acknowledged) on both sides, and no antagonism or name-calling.

The problem with your post was the 'ok, I'll bite' at the beginning; as though somebody posting something positive about the signings we've made was some kind of personal challenge. That you couldn't allow that positivity to just sit there without providing a negative viewpoint to the contrary.

Can you not just be happy that a knowledgeable neutral is saying good things about what our club has been doing this summer? Please?
