Natural goalscorer. Never ever fit enough.

He's already injured yet they've still signed him.

Good luck to him.

I think they have tried to game the system and it’s nearly bit them on the backside.

If he signs in July, they have to cover his wages for that month.

If he signs in August, we do.

Funny how all their fans knew he had agreed a deal and signed last month but it was announced on the first of August.

Everyones hearts must have been in their mouth when he went down injured … fortunately for Mark they say it’s not too serious (although we have heard that before).

Does pose a question as to what agreement they had with him and what would have happened if it was a season ending injury.

I thought his contract with us ended in June?

It’s a weird quirk of football contracts I don’t fully understand… someone explained it on here a week or so ago.

Isn't it just like someone being given a months notice period? Not the same but similar

For those who thought Clarke is a real nasty man with no loyalty to his players

Mills Walsall

Fitzpatrick Altrincham

Pope Congleton

Joyce Fylde

Cullen Hartlepool

Brown Exeter reserve keeper / player coach

Brisley Wrexham

Crookes Grimsby

Campell- Gordon Hanley Town

You nasty piece of work Clarke , not a clue about football .

From the official Northampton Town website. Compare and contrast to Clarkes "deadwood" comments. Players have still left but why stick the knife in and then wonder why they struggle to get another club?

DC did also say in that same interview that there would be a few tears shed for one or two genuine boys to quote him.

In the case of Adam Crookes for example Paul Hurst said DC put a good word in for him which encouraged him to bring him to Grimsby so he’s hardly the evil tyrant he’s been made out to be here.

I imagine the reason Luke Joyce was back at the club for the Wednesday friendly was to key DCs car. hahahahaha

DC is renowned for being a great man manager and a top class people person... his Ex players have said so over and over again.

Its nice to have someone in charge that genuinely cares for players, their careers and the clubs future at heart.

Honestly, other managers thoughts on players, matters f all! No 2 managers, sees the same player the same way.

If a manager wants a player and think he'd do good for his team, he wouldn't care one single bit, what another manager have called him "deadwood" in an interview.

Appears Colchester have just sold one of their players (Kwame Poku) to Peterborough. Should be a nice windfall for them there. Now if they would just kindly divert some of that this way I know just the forward we can send in return.
