I know things have improved down there but Brett Pitman's one year deal with Swindon expired this summer and there has been no word at all as to whether he's extended or signed elsewhere (rumours he's left).

A proper lower-league bagsman who would be a lovely complement to our existing strikers.

Pittman has just signed for Bristol Rovers

Hurst performed well last season. There was that patch around the time askey got sacked that he genuinely seemed like the only interested player and atleast offered us something. Definitely enough to work with and glad we offered him a contract. Just hope we have a plan for him that gets him enough game time

I though Hurst's form only suffered once he was asked to do a more defensive role. When more advanced he stood out as a bright spark, got into advanced positions and often made space for a cross. When he played more defensively he did his job but was unable to provide the required support in attack, and didn't stand out. I don't think he is that pacey, his legs move quickly but he doesn't cover that much ground with each stride. I am optimistic that he can be developed into a good player but I don't think he is a wing back.

I'm no cryptic tweeter but that's not a great image to symbolise Jay Emmanuel Thomas. Surely you'd put up a picture of a plane (a "J-E-T") if it was him.

If it's an image of a Jay then I'm guessing it's potentially someone else called "Jay"...

For Hurst was ok last season, has lots of potential to be a good player, it is just a question of if that talent can be accessed, if not DC will probably release him at the end of his contract. You cannot expect young players to just come into the team a be match winners they need time time develops and mature mentally and physically.

Cue meltdown from the Wiki scouts if it is indeed Jay Bird

Oh definitely! It will sooth the need for a good moan.

A deeper dig into the MK Dons forum and they were thinking he would play a part in their season before they went out and signed Eisa and Parrott from Spurs.

Looks like a good loan option.... In DC we trust!

Or cue concerns from people who see that our much needed 4th striker has made a total of 2 senior appearances and is yet to score a senior goal. May be great for a development squad but I'm not going to grouse at people for being disappointed.

He’s scored 2 in 3 senior starts

Isn't that the point about Wiki scouts.

That judgement is based on 2 numbers typed into a wiki page. So you are kind of proving his point a little.

What style of player is he?

Is he fast?

How many has he scored for their youth team?

When did he sign a new contract? Why did they sign him if he has "Only played twice and hasnt scored"

What do their fans think of him?

Fact is, we don't know much about him... lets wait and see.
