Scott Brown has signed for Exeter as a goalkeeping coach. I think the fact he's gone in as a coach/backup vindicates our decision to move on from him as a first-choice goalkeeper.
Will provide cover if needed, but won't be first-choice. Good luck to him.
Scott will focus on his coaching career at the club but will be registered as a player, providing goalkeeping cover if required.

Considering that he came here for ease of travel, I'm amazed that he's upped sticks to Exeter. Good luck to him

I think Pugh being released, despite Carols comments prior to DF/DC appointments, indicates that an experienced coaching team is what is wanted. So, to me, not really strange at all

Will say, interesting/strange he wasn't offered similar here, but Trust the Matrix.

Would the coach and player roles combined mean he is on a little bit more than we wanted to pay maybe?

Unless DC and Flickers want to move Sinclair on... but they probably want someone experienced given DCs comments around wanting experience around him.

Sinclair left a couple of weeks ago I believe

I thought DF hired Crosby actually...

You can stop your anti DC attention seeking now.

“What I mean by that is a lot of the time the coaches I have worked with I have actually coached up and got up the ladder to be where they are now. I didn’t want to have to do that, I was always looking for somebody that was more experienced. With Andy coming in to help me, that was the ideal candidate after I interviewed a few candidates to be honest with you.

I would say disappointing that Scottie wasn't offered a similar position here as assistant coach and back up player. DC already has a well-experienced coach in Ronnie Sinclair so it wasn't as if he would have been moving a rookie into front-line coaching. Perhaps it was money but for SB to move all the way to Exeter when he moved here for travelling reasons makes it all the more strange. Exeter though, as someone has said, would be a very nice place to move to for a longer-term coaching position.
