442 doesn’t work as the 2 in midfield get  over run, just like then first half Saturday. 433 seems the best fit for our current squad .

I think DC will find a way if he rediscovers his form from when he broke into the Bolton team. The probable options are in a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-4-2. The issues are we will need to either sacrifice a midfielder or a striker. 4-4-2 looks the best team on paper, but in reality we are likely to get overrun in midfield.

We weren't overrun because we had 2 in midfield.  We looked lost as players didn't appear to know there job and simply where not up for the game like Stevenage. We where 1 yard off the pace all over the pitch. It took a half time blocking to shake them up. Christ knows what formation we played at Stevenage it changed so many times.

442 can and will work with the right personnel and setup especially on smaller pitches. A lack of work ethic and desire to win will loose regardless of formation which was the case 1st half.

Looking forward to what striker we can bring in.

That 451/433 looks tasty.

I saw talk of the Millwall striker Isaac Olaofe being linked. Gary rowett just confirmed earlier he will be leaving to join a club before the deadline. Maybe it’s us. Scored 15 for Sutton last season.

Good job he only uses his first and surname, or he’d need an extra couple of shirts -

Isaac Tanitoluwaloba Aduraoluwatimileyin Olaofe

…is his full name.

Would give us cover until Xmas and allow our strikers to hit form?

Clarke said we were being done over run and needed another body .

You would have thought we would have signed the promised striker by now wouldn’t you? I’m guessing our poor start may have meant we have missed out on our primary target and will end up signing another youth who has had some non league experience. Not ideal as they’re probably no better than what we already have.

Plenty of time yet do do a deal, players may yet still be keeping their options open.
One man's dead wood may be another man's kindling, who knows we could sign a real gem, let's hope so.

As well as a striker DC also considering a defender to cover Legge's injury absence (2/3 months?)
