I've been checking on Benning, and no sign of him moving anywhere as far as I can tell -he is the signing I'm hoping for

Yeah but what do the Wikipedia editors have to say about him?

It's their view I care about, not the fans who fork out to see him keep net every week. Those numbers on the right of a wiki article can tell a story.

About time we had a player from the strongest nation (footballing wise) of all time! Will be interesting when the Sentinel or somewhere does an in depth interview / report on his history. Not often in these days of Google that we sign a veteran player with not much to read about, at least in the English language.

We're going to get neck ache watching the team walking out of the tunnel next season - we seem to have a team of giants. Always good for a bit of staring down of the opposite before the match starts.  And I can't wait to see away fans reaction as we line up - "blimey, what have they been feeding this lot?".

Also if the centre backs split then Walker can drop in and the full backs can bomb on so all in all that 4/1/3/2 is very versatile.....quick question on Benning are we talking about a class attacking left back who can play left back and left wing back but also perhaps left midfield/left wing that good.....said to be going to league 1 possibly so obviously quality would be a great signing....hopefully more signings today.

What about players who have come with bad reviews? Garrity from Oldham? Do we care about their fans views? Whether you like it or not he hasn’t played at a decent level for a number of years that’s what wiki tells us, nobody is trawling through the articles on there. I hope he does brilliant and will reserve judgement until I see him play as I’ve never seen him before. I and a think a few others had just hoped a replacement for brown would have similar experience at this level.
