However apart form old man Legge further reinforcements and cover is needed and hopefully Gibbons is over that reocuring injury from last season.

Why are you so certain it’s a back 5? We have signed a CDM as well who will presumably start. I’d be surprised if we line up with a back 5 and a CDM. If Johnson signs we won’t sign another CB 4 is enough.

I certainly wouldn’t rule out a back 5 but it was pretty clear DC went with that as a temporary fix to stop teams exploiting us down the channels last season.

I would guess at maybe some form of diamond formation as don’t think the back five gets the best out of Worrall but might be proven completely wrong there.

Clarke says he likes tactical flexibility. Walsall fans said he rarely stuck with a system. We saw Clarke change systems 3-4 times a game.

Clarke will want his squad to be able to perform in myriad formations. I think we'll see signings that would allow 5 defenders. Players with versatility like Walker and Jones will enable this.

Hoping for Vigoroux or King to sign as our first-choice keeper this week. Get a U23 GK as reserve from a top academy so they don't contribute to the registration numbers.

I didn’t think GK’s contributed towards the registration numbers?
