Not sure they will tbh could be many reasons why not.
Is DC away on a break? that could be a reason, you dont need him there to sign them but he might want to be there when they get announced,we haven't heard off DC for over a week now in the media and thats unusual so thats what makes me think he is away,
The transfer window doesn't offically open until 9th june so I would imagine Clarke has had a week off before the madness starts

Be amazed if any incoming keeper has even heard of Visser let alone heard of his ' treatment '.

He was unfortunate however I stand by what I said when he signed in that he was a peculiar signing by Askey who was never in a million years going to be the successor to Brown.

I guess their agents may well know Visser's agent though. You know, the guy who was reportedly furious after his player was injured due to foolhardy training methods, albeit under the last regime.

I'm not having a go at the new lot or even stating that we should have kept Visser but I totally understand why he and his reps would be pretty pi$$ed off.

Visser good god! he was on years contract and he a pro so why would his representatives be pi$$ed off? He got injured , kept him on payroll while he recovered what the heck did we do wrong ?  Anything to add controversies to a normal discharge process

I think I have said all along that I hope I am wrong but I admit I don't like the way Clarke does his business. I don't know John Askey actually. We used to complain that Micky Adams was an old fashioned manager and that he drove Sam Morsy away, I think Clarke is even more old fashioned in his attitude towards players and has released more important players than Sam Morsy. Time will tell...

Having spoken to Chris Lines at length about Darrell Clarke who he played 4 years for, the final part of your post couldn't be further from the truth. Lines said Clarke's main strength is his man management and getting the best out of who he has working for him. I thought he did that this season just gone.

Just because he's decided to get rid of a large part of the squad doesn't make that untrue. He's just decided that he wants to work with a different set of players and doesn't think the ones he had were going to get us up. I'm not sure what's wrong with that.

On the flip side of us being ‘wrong’ for not signing anyone yet, on the same basis why has no-one snapped up the players Clarke is ‘so wrong’ to release?

For some on here the sooner we can get some new bodies in to rip to shreds before we even get to pre season the better!

I don't disagree, but Montano has gone the Livingston in the SPL.

I think the treatment of Visser may be more likely to dissaude players from joining us.

Has Brown made any comment following his release?

I thought we looked after him pretty well as he got paid for not being able to play? But...as contracts come to an end, players need to prove they're worth re-signing. Clearly, Visser would need a lot longer before...if...he could do that. As for Scott Brown - thanks for your efforts over the last couple of seasons, but, again, contract has come to an end and performances are definitely on the decline. Time to be realistic - we need new keepers; Scott Brown needs to find a new club, possibly in a League lower than us? Nothing about these decisions are cruel or callous - just realistic in a world where this happens to hundreds of players, every season!

When managers have been successful somewhere, players more often than not tend to praise their man management skills. When a team is winning it is much easier to keep people happy. Players are happy because they are winning games, the atmosphere around the club from staff and fans is upbeat and players out of the team appreciate that they have to wait for their chance.

When players praise a managers man management skills when they don't do so well I think it carries a bit more weight.

Look at the praise Mourinio got for his man management skills in his first spell at Chelsea. Now that things aren't going so well for him he seems to alienate and upset players to the extent that they take swipes at him in the media when he leaves.

I am not critisicing Clarke's man management skills. In fact I think when you see the way Clarke interacts with the players he appears to have a great rapport with them. I have certainly warmed towards him from the prickly character he appeared in his first few weeks.
