You do realise Hussey is thirty three? The proper recruitment team that brought Ryan Johnson? Brad Walker? Both goalkeepers are being questioned on here although personally I think they're both fine. It's been hit and miss let's be honest.

What's his age got to do with it? If he's as good as or better than Gibbons, then we've covered that position for at least 18 months. At least until the summer. And in the summer, we'll be in the market again. I don't understand your point?

As for Brad Walker, I'm not a massive fan myself, but he would be playing and actually getting a chance to show how good he can be if he hadn't been unlucky enough that Pett made the position his own in his absence.

Were you really expecting 100% successful recruitment? Like how you've pointedly ignored the far greater number of players brought in who have been successes and just named 2 who haven't set VP alight

Politic in his cameos lit up Vale park but he wasn't our player in the first place .

A weeks a long time in football ,a week ago Announce Promotion a week on after a very bad defeat v Swindon and Politic going back to his parent club its doom and gloom .

We need a reaction tomorrow if we do not get one then the doom merchants the ones who only cheer when we score anyway (when glad all over is played ) and do very little encouraging may be right but for now I'm still hopeful .

Dc will have players lined up let's hope the 11 selected tomorrow have the bit between there teeth if they haven't then I suggest they look for other work as if I was playing tomorrow and I'd just performed like majority did Saturday I'd be sacked but that's none of my concern my concern is getting behind the players tomorrow and hopefully creating a winning response to saturdays poor effort .

I think it is understandable people fear going in the wrong direction. The recent developments send a shiver down the spine. However as the majority say things hopefully not as bad as they seem and pretty sure expected or unexpected Flitcroft and Clarke are already working on solutions. One thing is for certain Carol has trust in the football side and she hasn't let us down yet. Three points next stop against Salford.

We're also a keeper down and looks like Gibbons is off and possibly Rodney too. As I said, hope we get it sorted but ATM I don't think anyone can be blamed for being concerned.

You do realise that neither Covolan nor Jones are banned for life don't you? Gibbons and Rodney are still here, and I've absolutely no doubt that they will be replaced, if they do leave, with either better players or of comparable ability. Plus Hussey has already come in to play Gibbos role that he was playing.

Hussey is steady and will do a good job but he isn’t the same style of player. He’s going to have to settle in quickly and have a hell of second half of the season to match the impact Gibbos made this season. That’s if Gibbo is off of course, I’m not convinced he is.

Because he wasn't our player. His agent and Bolton would obviously be looking to make as much money as possible, so to sit back and just presume he was staying would have been incredibly foolhardy.

Bolton and Politic would be under no obligation to tell the club what they were planning. Bolton could have recalled him at any point to play him themselves. Politic could well have told the club he was staying and then out of the blue Bolton recall him. We could have been in talks with him to try and get him to stay here. Basically are you saying we should already have had a replacement in the squad from day one in case he got recalled at any point? That the management should have been preparing for him to go all along? I just thinks it’s harsh to blame the management for a loan player going back when we already have options within the squad to be a winger if needed and we still have a 2 week window to get another sub winger in anyway.

All we have are internet rumours and fan gossip that they’re off. Nothing concrete. Even if they do we’ve brought in Hussey and the 2 loan strikers and again we have 2 weeks to go to get others in if needed.

Sorry Phil thats nonsense.
How is it? It was the only position he played, bar 1 or 2 in a 343. So by bringing in Harratt we've covered the position he was being used in? I'd agree we need a winger if DC was planning to use wingers, but there's no sign of that yet

Big news here on Dennis Politic.

Good player and a game changer but doesn't fit the wing back system and probably didn't see his future as an impact sub at Vale, can't blame him.

I'm more concerned about the rumors regarding Gibbo.

Perhaps we didn’t want start a player who at best could only manage 40/50 minutes ?

How do we know this though? Had he been given a chance to play 90? We started Wilson who can only manage 60 tops at the moment and just coming back from a bad injury so don’t see the point here?

Partly. I don't think it should come as a shock that he's gone as it was always on the cards. If you borrow your friend's ladders in the knowledge they might want them back at the weekend, you don't plan to clean your windows on Saturday. I'm not blaming them for him going back, that's the nature of loans. I'm just saying that this shouldn't be shocking news for them.

Should add, the management may well have everything in hand and have planned for this eventuality.

Why the <ovf censored> are we not in the mix to buy Politic permanent if another bid has been accepted?

From gutted to fuming😤

How do you know we weren't in the mix? We could of offered Dennis a contract & even placed a bid. He might just fancy Italy & turned us down. Do any of us know yet?
