My point was that there were loads of rumours on this site pre-season regarding Tshimanga, just pointing out he is doing well. Not sure what “non league” means, half the national league are full time professionals and some far better equipped than some in our league.

I'm with you there. Don't know what hobblesworth means. Top Non  league now is as good, if not better in many cases than Division 2, so any top goalscorer there deserves my respect and belief they may do Vale good.

"Non-League" is a relic of regional leagues, and part-time players. The gap  has widened  between the Championship and the Football League., but the Football League and the National League has narrowed in my opinion.

Hence, how many relegated clubs have bounced straight back, I am struggling to think of one. On the same footing most teams promoted from the national league have held their own, granted some better than others.

Bristol Rovers in DC`s view bounced straight back. Whether they are the only one I don`t know.

If you look at the top 5 scorers from the last 5 seasons of the National League, only about 3 or 4 have made the step up. The general standard of the league may have improved but there's still dreck in there, and if you're getting your stats boosted by a hattrick against Weymouth then the 17 in 17 thing should maybe be taken with a pinch of salt.

For what its worth I was told by someone in football(league and no not sunday league) that Tshimanga is a natural scorer and in his opinion would certainly score his fair share in league 2 which is why i kept on about him in the summer but he is another who went for the wonga i think as several league clubs were very interested in him and still are

Nice to have a civil Friday afternoon discussion without having your head bitten off.
