Excellent effort again.

March 16th , 39 days ago that's all .

I was a bag of nerves looking at Southend, Grimsby nervously.

Newport equalise , here we go again, we're in massive trouble.

Since that Rodney winner what an amazing transformation.

Well done to everybody , stunning results.

Really enjoyed that. What I liked about it is that after that first 20 mins we got to grips with them and any threat they had by overloading our wing backs was gone. Both Worrall and Gibbo coped really well and had excellent games defensively and snuffed them out down the outside. The one downside of playing them as wing backs is you lose that attacking impetus and their drive in making runs off each other. But I don’t think you fault can their defensive work today and I felt that they used the ball well to relieve pressure.  Centre halves were good again apart from the goal, where it looked like Brisley just lost his man for a yard who scored. Whitehead had a very good game with good runs and used the ball well, as did Conlon too. I think Robinson had one of his better games for us, ran the channels, held it up and got his goal. Swann put a shift in too.

Overall they hardly looked a threat to us, and what I like about us now is our game management. Get in front, leave our wing backs in and make it hard for the opposition with hard work and pressing. Even as the game was petering out we were finding the corners and keeping the ball well.

I’m enjoying watching us again, we’re taking our chances and doing the dirty side of the game.

We’ve gone on a g8 run but I’m still gutted. I said all a long JA wasn’t good enough and got a load of abuse for saying so !!! Also Im not happy with how long it took the powers that be to finally realise and agree. Where would we be now if they’d acted sooner !!!!!

So did JA last season. He ended the season on an 8 match unbeaten run too. That was soon forgotten by the majority on here after a couple of bad results. Funny how people with the non majority view are labelled WUMs most of the time. DC has clearly done a good job over the last 2 months, I'm just responding to the hysteria over his man management skills. Taylor and Burgess were the best attacking midfielders in this league last season, so why aren't they performing, if DC has such a midas touch

Forgotten after a COUPLE of bad results....mmm odd but hey ho.. for what its worth Askey should of gone a month sooner

Another very good result today, its a shame we hadn't got 5 games left... personally i think our back 3 is strong enough to take us into next season.

Unreal form this is. 25 points from 27 is nuts.

Whitehead was excellent today as was the back five, Conlon oozes quality.

Shame it was too late but would love to hold on to a top half finish now and ideally one more win no losses so we’ve won as many as we’ve lost!

I personally don't think that we'll play with a back 3 next season. DC has done what he needed to do with a very reactive formation and approach. Once he gets his own players in over the summer, I can see a much more proactive setup and approach with a back 4

I said the other day that the most important signing we could make in the summer was Conlon on a longer deal but i would like to add Andy Crosby to that, its so important for our plans that we try our very best to get him to stay even if its just for next season

I think he will want to mix and match tbh,the back 3 has worked for him this season so i cant see him just ditching it,i can see him keeping Brisley(will already have Legge and Smith here) and then bringing in a young pacy CB

I'm not saying that he won't use it at times, but I can't see it being his default approach as it is now

Ironically said Darrell Clarke was a world-class manager after his first win. Walsall fans thought it was funny.

No irony in it now. This is the best run of form I've ever seen, with a squad we'd all considered one of the worst in recent history.

Up the Dazzling, Rampant Whites.

So in your world the players bear no or are absolved of all responsibility for their own performances for the majority of this season? So by the same token you will lay the good season we had last year solely at the feet of JA?

That was under the old manager your mate JA. We are where we are now because of DC
