Season ticket announcement?

The club are dealing with 4000 people no matter what they had done we wouldn't all be happy. No matter which side of the debate your on you are never going to convince the other side of your point of view. What I will say is this I fell out with Billy Bell years ago and stopped going for 6 years but guess what the club is still here so if you do stop going you will me missed and we will be sorry to see you go but it won't make much difference

No refunds mate for last season or this, loyal fans give money to club although when they ask for refund are told to go away.

But you are loyal mate so don't worry.

I have finished with this club after 50 odd years, not for me but for the treatment of someone else.

I am not the only one, I have spoken to a few lads tonight who have agreed with me and said they are shocked and will not be renewing season tickets either.

Owners under estimate the power of fans, just look at the super league that went well.

CAROL TAKE NOTE,

Seems a shame to stick with the club through the Smurthwaite era where he literally couldnt have cared less about the club or fans and then leave under a carols watch who cares passionately about both.

Things will never be perfect... the club has just gone through one of the most difficult 18 months in its history. Mistakes will be made.

Hopefully you and the club can find a way to make things right.

Thanks IC I had a few beers last night and was having a rant.

Sorry if I offended anyone, not good to post after drinking.

I am sure things will get sorted.

Been there mate! 😂

I always try and think of “intentions”

Normans intention was to milk us for cash.

Carols is to make the Vale a better team / club / community. That gets a lot of leeway in my book!

Things will go wrong, things won’t be perfect. But we are all vale!

Hope the head isn’t too bad! 😁

CAROL TAKE NOTE,

Yep.

Even if the season-ticket holder is a senior citizen (and supporter for 60 years) that does not have internet access, and therefore has been unable to watch any games (and has been in a Covid bubble with 1 other person that also does not have internet access).

Refused a refund or transferring the unused season-ticket into a renewal for next season.

Who did he approach at the club? When did he approach the club?

Ticket office in the first instance. And then a hand-written letter to Mrs Shanahan.

Approached them after the recent announcement of the new 2021/22 season-tickets, and the lack of any mention within that for people that have not benefited from this year's season-ticket.

(why are you asking when he approached the club? - at what point should he have approached them? Lockdown 1? Lockdown 2? Lockdown 3? Has anything been publicised that people should contact the club by a certain date? What was the deadline for approaching them?)

Surprised he waited so long when without internet access.

He anticipated that the club would communicate any refund (or renewal transfer) policy for those that could not access the 2020/21 games, when they announced the new 2021/22 season-tickets.

Is that so surprising?

Not really, people are different, I would have checked earlier unless I intended to write off the ticket. I was offered a holiday transfer but waited for a refund.

But the club DID contact the season ticket holders to tell them they were entitled to a refund, then a further message to say how much that refund would be, I still have the messages.

then after all that to not go through with it and actually pay the refunds is strange at best.

as I said, I was furloughed for 8 months and my wife for 12 months so needed the money at the time, I’m back working now so will probably not Persue it any further.

I wasn't aware of this - that's better service than I would have expected? Maybe they were waiting for people to respond with "Yes, send my refund", or "No, thanks...but thank you, anyway?2

I’ve been furloughed so had to ask for a refund and been declined. I can’t justify the money being spent to my family for a few ifollow games. I’m awaiting to speak to someone at the club. There should be a choice by each individual like last season.

Spoke to Martin Tideswell

Spoke to him just before Christmas and he said no decision would be made until they knew when fans may be allowed back so hold on a bit.

Called again to be told no end of.
