It snowed on the 1st of June and then no rain and hot and sunny until the end of August then the weather broke.

I am not happy. I have a load of veg plants that I wanted to put out, but are now stuck in my bedroom. The wife is asking when I can get rid of them lol.

It snowed on May 5th 1979 my 16th birthday when Vale lost 3-0 to Reading at VP. Rest of the summer was poor from what I remember..!

4 - 0, with Terry Armstrong chipping the keeper for one (4th??). Although that was March.

Spot on! We went in a caravan and bought coal on the Saturday of "Potters Fortnight",then it was red hot on Sunday!It rained on August BH, as I was attending a fire in Madeley and a car skidded into our Fire Appliance,on the greasy road!!It was like a skid pan !!

1963 it snowed and froze for 3 months, not sure if it lasted until Easter.

I know about this. My Mam told me about it. She was pregnant with me. I was born in December. She is no longer here. 2 years and a few months ago. Still gutted.

The thing i remember about Graham Hawkins is he used to get a lot of stick from certain supporters he could not believe that they were at Hartlepool on a bitterly cold night match all that way just to boo him.I think it must have been cause of his blonde locks.😂
