Female ref for Harrogate game

There’s going to be a lot of attention on the game so I hope she’s anonymous, which at the end of the game is sometimes key to a good ref when you realise you haven’t really noticed them. I hope she lets the game flow if possible and isn’t too hasty to stop the game and make it a whistle-fest or is too eager with the cards. Basically just don’t do all the things that make Kettle a shocking referee.

Correct. Most the blokes we have are fat and old. Cant keep up with play, haven't a clue and want to make it all about them.

A recent ref looked like he was expecting twins, might of been the Bolton game.

Great stuff, didn't realise this hadn't happened before. The game should get alot of extra media coverage now, let's hope we put a performance in. Refereeing is a tough gig, usually one of the sides will be slating her performance, fair play to anyone who chooses to take up the whistle as a career.

She has not wanted to go further and given preference to her educational career. Good track record as an assistant referee in my opinion. Proved there are no fitness issues or issues with dealing with much bigger aggressive men etc.

All the best to her. Just hope she's informed that if any of our local lads call her "duck" it is not offensive/patronizing. Men also being "duck".
