Match Thread: Port Vale v Exeter City

Recommended Posts

Friday afternoon will be a return to Vale Park after 2 away wins, a chance to measure our recent improvement against an Exeter team looking to make it 4 out of 5 PO seasons. The Grecians have broken a run of 3 defeats with a 1-0 win over Salford. Thus a tight game is in prospect.  Hopefully Monty`s `s knock is not serious, maybe more players back from injury? Keep the run going Vale, set the standard for next season. A 2-0 repeat of the early season away victory would be great.

A great chance to do our 3rd double of the season. While a draw wouldnt be too bad, I would love to see a 4th succesive win. Keep the same team if injuries allow, and maybe give Amoo and Guthrie a run out at some point. Will Tom be fit for this one? ........ who knows

With the way we have played recently I don't think there is a team in the division that we won't be too much for. Another win here i will go for another 3-0 now we are scoring freely. I went 3-0 against Crawley and it should have been but for our gift wrapped goal for them.

This will be another hard match, but with the players playing well at the moment very winnable.  Will be a good match to see how well the players have adapted to the management staff way of playing.

Confident of a win now a days.

Come on Vale another 3 points please.

A fair test to see how much our team has improved. Exeter are consistently up there and will be a good benchmark as to what is required to be contenders and where our weaknesses are.

Well said. I do agree . Exeter are a Good side .

Looking forwards to every game now going be tough as they all are but with purpose, strong running ,hard work anything is possible .

Last 3 games theres  a energy about Vale a ferocity about them it's great see ,we are running harder and benefitting from it as when we get the ball we have the quality and belief do something so I'd be saying Same again you do not beat the likes of Crawley who have soundly beaten Tranmere and Leeds at home so convincingly if you have nothing about you .

Bring on the grecians
