I've been posted some tremendous scrapbooks by Vale fan Ken Grocott. 

There's some great press clippings in there and you may have already seen the Spurs ones I've had on the homepage.

So, there will be some more features from there over the coming days including - 

  • Moving on from the Spurs game to the Watford cup tie
  • Coverage of the Everton game

When these are live, I am going to use the articles to produce a "landing page" for each classic Port Vale game. This means that rather than scattered articles on the games, there will be one, central page with all the articles, images and video from the game in it.

At the bottom of this message is a screengrab of the Spurs page I am putting together to give you an idea.

The concept is that you'll be able to go to one page and absorb yourself in that game, read the press clippings, watch the entire 90 mins game (for several of these games), look at images etc. 

This project will take some weeks and months to complete but I'll let you know each time a classic match page is published 🙂
