although i've never been  Artell fan, he's just jumped in my estimation of him, the only one on the staff side, to recognise crwho had a problem, and never delt with it, and are still deniging any responsibility. Also are affraid to say "sorry", in case everyman and his dog will think badly of them...and instead release a "leagal" reply.

Well done Artell, for having the balls to say that word sorry, and mean it.

The reason they don't say sorry is because if they do they are admitting guilt and the legal world and ambulance chasers will be all over them there legal fees must be running at a high figure, if they get sued it could mean the end of the club it's all about money.

That’s cos you’re not blond, Danny.

The Mail on Sunday pulls no punches today. Oliver Holt describes Crewe as “a sad, cynical excuse for a football club.”  Decent Crewe fans must find that heartbreaking.

They say they are been picked on it happened 30 years ago, time to move on,Bennell is is in jail and Dario was just being nice.....(Make of that what you will )

I think this is pretty telling from the 200% website, given the legal role of the person giving the statement...

Polly Handford, the FA’s director of legal and governance, added that:

I think where someone’s removed from football office for safeguarding reasons, that will be because we have we have seen that there’s been an assessment that that particular individual could potentially cause or pose a risk of harm to children.

I’m facing up to some uncomfortable viewing tonight. Things went badly wrong all those years ago. The club needs to acknowledge this.

You’ve got to have huge respect for the chaps speaking out and in particular Paul Stewart.

Gradi and Benell are scum.

A very moving programme. Andy Woodward was so brave in speaking out. Paul Stewart was a person I was never very keen on and I thought he wasted his talent. I was so wrong about him. He spoke so well and his mother too. Steve Walters also showed great courage. So sad that bad people prey upon innocent childrens’ love of the game.
