Why has Gradi been banned for life by the FA if he was totally innocent in these goings on?

I don’t know why he has been banned for life and I’m not prepared to speculate. I’m sure though that the FA wouldn’t think twice to throw individuals to the wolves to protect themselves and also to offer transparency

Will Gradi keep his MBE for "services to football" when it is fairly obvious that his services to young footballers were sadly lacking?

That's a very good question.I hope our local media give it coverage tomorrow as it's disgusting.

Crewe will stick to the No Comment line because they are frightened of compensation payouts if they apologise, because by apologising it could be seen as an admission of guilt.

The supporters are a different matter altogether, no mention whatsoever on the alexmad site, there is no guilt attached to the club or Gradi according to them, it's a conspiracy against them by the media and press.

Radio Stoke will be interesting how or if the cover it.

I’d say if he’s got a lifetime ban irrespective of what it’s for, then no. But look at Phillip Green who still keeps his knighthood

Dario Gradi is banned for life from football.  They cannot elaborate on why but did confirm it's for "safeguarding measures."

This is a "man" who thinks playing porn videos to 11 year old lads is educational.

A "man" who didn't acknowledge that putting your hands down a child's shorts was even abuse until Sheldon pointed it out.

Found this from a supporters meeting chaired by Mc Garry on Feb 19th 2021

TO CHAIRMAN JOHN BOWLER – THE BOARD PREVIOUSLY SAID IT WOULD AT SOME POINT BREAK ITS SILENCE OVER THE BARRY BENNELL AFFAIR. CAN YOU ENLIGHTEN US ABOUT WHAT THE NEXT STEPS ARE? CAN YOU ALSO LET US KNOW WHETHER THE CLUB INTENDS TO TRY TO APPROACH THE EX-CREWE PLAYERS THAT WERE VICTIMS OF BARRY BENNELL AND APOLOGISE OR TAKE OTHER STEPS TO REPAIR BRIDGES?

John Bowler : “The Barry Bennell affair as you refer to is part of a major project that is being sponsored by the FA through the Sheldon inquiry.

“I don’t know when but I would anticipate that the Sheldon inquiry would probably be published within the next month or two. Therefore I don’t believe it would be appropriate for me to comment much further until the inquiry is published – other than to say we cooperated with Sheldon in all the questions and all the information it was seeking regarding Crewe Alexandra.”

He added that staff at the club also cooperated by inquiring about past players so the Sheldon inquiry could speak to them.

He said: “It is an FA inquiry, it is a national study so therefore beyond that I think I should not comment further until I have seen that report. Then when we have seen that report, that is the time when we will make our feelings felt.”
