Brilliant!

Great first half and I thought we were way more comfortable than 1.0.

Second half they came at us more but the defence stood firm against a renowned poor attack. We were fairly comfortable all the way really, apart from the top notch save from Brown.

Did our bit today, nevermind the other lot.

The 10 points gap is actually 11 really given the goal difference.

For the first time in a long while I do think we'll be alright.

That goal from Rodders as well. What a finish.

Barrow fighting hard, several late goals today.

Barrow will make the playoffs at this rate😄.

Not too much to worry about tonight.  We needed a couple of results and we have them.

For a while it was difficult to see where they were going to come from but I always had hope.

Not the best second half, but a great win which almost seals our survival. Pressure should be off now. Nice to be above Walsall as well.

They were bound to come at the Vale in the 2nd half as their manager must have ripped into them.  But we managed to fight and the players helped each other to grind out the result.  Previously they were not bothered and we would have folded.  Glad to see they are now showing us they can play like professional footballers.

Barrow on a hell of a run

Colchester commentary mentioned that barrow had furloughed some players so they could sign others in January- is that correct/ allowed?
If it is, it's a hell of a loophole. Can't see HMG being too pleased with it

Heard that and even the commentators said that was not in the spirit of things.  But the FA and EFL have not taken any action against them for doing it.

Thought second half we were a tad fortunate not concede as at times we were a bit lacklustre to say the least however when we did go forwards we looked a threat hitting the bar and post and scoring a goal what deserved win any game .

Great win though gives us momentum going into final 9 final games .

Colchester did well second half think they have enough about them survive .

Great save from Brown won us the game well done Scott

Worth remembering that, by almost every metric, we had the worst defence in professional football when Clarke arrived.

The return of attacking players has helped results, but to have only conceded 8 in 9 since he came in (3 in one game when Brown decided to play up front for Cheltenham) is a great turnaround. Legge being back and excellent helps, but we're conceding far fewer clean cut chances as a unit. Brown had one (magnificent) save to make today, bar that one straight at him from distance in the first half.

Cheers Walsall, you thick tw@ts. "hE wAs GoIn bE sAcKeD aNyWaY!' they'll tell themselves as they fail to win since his departure.
