I don’t think you can take any positives out of the performance other than we didn’t lose.

What the frig are you on about? That performance had 1000x the energy and effort of our last 10 games combined.

There's a lot of positives to take out of that performance, aside from donkey 1 and donkey 2.

Harsh but Swan really should have won it right at the end just before he got hooked, he had time but spooned it. That was the chance.

I’m sorry but I did not see anything to be positive about there. We could have played until Saturday and not scored, and they were one of the worst sides we’ve played this season. If we cannot beat them, we sure as Hell aren’t going to beat Bolton on Saturday.

Every comment tonight from u start to finish was negative or slagging them off

infact it’s every game I suppose most games u have a point but tonight they tried and were unlucky

Yes weve not won tonight but if we play like that until the end of the season there is no way we will go down. Great performance just missing that little bit of quality/luck

Agree with this... very frustrating but that was a good performance.

We have battered them tonight and done everything but score.

I was starting to get worried that DC couldn’t get a performance out of them... well he did tonight. It’s not his fault our strikers are playing awfully.

If we play like this and get more match fitness into Manny and Amoo we will  create chances ... we need one to go in off someone’s arse.

Would fans be hypothetically more satisfied with a performance akin to Saturday, but we nicked a late 1-0 win, whilst still playing diabolically?

I get that results are paramount, but the nonsense spouted by Unofficial Vale about tonight being the 'biggest game in years/history' is ludicrous. We've seen with Cheltenham and Cambridge that the top sides at this level are completely beatable. We didn't 'need' to win tonight and I've been baffled by the suggestion that we had to. Colchester and Barrow are the closest we've got to 'must win', but there's still 36 points to play for.

I was very worried that Clarke didn't know how to create chances in this side without sacrificing the defensive solidity he's try to bring in. Tonight we married some tightness at the back with a collection of chances which should have been buried, if it wasn't for a forward bang out of form and confidence and the width of the goalpost.

So frustrating.

Would have thought a few Vale players would have gambled at the back or front post or elsewhere at times.

My mind goes back to the a55hole Sunderland player for the cowardly foul on Tom Pope in the nothing game at Mackemville......absolute barsteward

Really disappointed. I had really enjoyed that match, first time I have been utterly fixed on a game from start to finish for ages. Should have won, but Guthrie missed so many easy ones with Worrall giving him great service. Robinson not much better and as for Rodney, he just doesn’t convince out wide on tonight’s evidence.

I think he has to be wide left of a 3. That's his best position and where he has done all his best work. If you are playing with 2 up top then he has to be up front at detriment to his game but better for the team.

Ok I'll bite.

20 odd chances created far far more than recently.

Restricted a very good Oldham away team ( Look at the record ) to 2 half chances.

Worrall back

Amoo and Manny getting on the pitch.

An obvious increase in effort and desire.

We don't have a devine right to score just as Klopp is finding out.

If we had ambled round like we did against Kings Lynn and others then I would agree but we didn't.

Absolutely gutted and feel like I’ve just got off a rollercoaster that’s been circulating 21 times!

Looking at the positives, we absolutely battered Oldham from start to finish (who have the third best away form in the league)

If we play like that in the next two home games we will win at least one. I’m staying positive after tonight. KTF

Can’t fault the lads for effort, gave it absolutely everything and we were actually creating changes. Just a shame Guthrie can’t hit a barn door. Fully deserved to win that and how we haven’t is sickening.

Im very concerned about relegation still. If we can’t take our chances we will go down. And we also have no luck at all with Conlon’s effort hitting the post etc, another classic symptom of a relegation side.

So is conceding 93rd minute equalizers, so I guess it’s us and Grimsby then. 😀

I thought that we looked good, other than the finish, and these players have shown that they can stick the ball in the net earlier in the season.

I still choose to have hope.

I feel more positive tonight than I have for a few weeks

With Worrall and Amoo back we have some attacking options

Not sure we will get anything against Bolton but hopefully will at least be in the game

Will be supporting Walsall on Friday night
