Scott Brown pulls no punches on recruitment.

Interesting that in that recruitment analyst role, applicants must be comfortable with Statsbomb.

Looks like Flitcroft is bringing in some data into the recruitment process. Excellent. Finally catching up with the clever clubs.

It’s brutal but an honest assessment.

Points the finger at Aspin and Askey and someone to the board but you can’t disagree with what he suggests can you. Assume the senior lads agree with him but it’s up to the other lads to prove a point.

Sadly so far many have proved gutless and cowardly.

Wouldn’t say aspins recruitment was that bad personally. Signed some decent players who hit their prime last season. Askeys has been the big issue

Aspin signed players for midtable in League Two, which was fine for Norman's budget. Askey got them to just outside the play-offs and the thinking that giving the squad depth would allow us to kick on and reach the play-offs. We were wrong, barring the minority of fans who slated his signings at the time.

I thought we were wrong at the time. We needed a couple of first team players not these squad players that aren’t up to the level. Got slated on here for moaning about the signing of Robinson and the fact we didn’t sign a creative midfielder. Thought we signed very poorly last summer as well notable signings such as evans, Lloyd and Kennedy.

Yet many were slating players like Joyce under Aspin who then went on to play well under Askey.

To play devil's advocate does that mean we might see a rejuvenated Whitehead next season?

I feel you are praising Aspin's signings because he is a more distant memory then Askey and because Askey did well with them. We were dross at the end of both previous managers tenures with the squads that they had built.

I was thinking that. If that happens then surely our season is being written by script writers

Okay the game is up. We live in a simulation don't we? This is the Truman Show and I claim my £10!

Brown is out of form at the moment but let's be honest he has been generally very very good since he came to the club.

indeed, but perhaps keep his comments  on other players to himself .
