This sadly comes as no suprise from the most right wing and corrupt government we've ever had.

I'm not sure you could have come up with a worse take on this?

You've seen the Government literally paying private workers 80% of the salary to sit at home? You've seen cops arresting people for tweeting that there are only two genders. And you still somehow conclude that this is "the most right wing" government we've ever had?

It's objectively not even the most right right wing government out of the last 2. In fact I think it's probably the most left wing Government we've had in my lifetime.

It comes to something when I genuinely can't even understand where you've got that from.

Did I see read somewhere thousands of NHS and care workers have refused the jab?

Yes, some will have medical reasons not to dependent on which medication they are already taking.  it is also a matter of choice which may affect which areas of a hospital they can work in or not.

So you agree that they are corrupt though?

Would a left wing govermment have miles long queues for food banks?

If the government want to earn some brown points with nurses the 1% offer should have been accompanied with a one off tax free bonus for all front line NHS workers of, say, a thousand quid. That would have targeted the payment for the COVID response and would not have produced the ongoing payment that a higher rise than 1% would cost. This would cost far less than the test and trace fiasco.

1970s?

Although no food banks just strikes.

Very much the good old days compared to the shambles of this very unequal country.

There should be no need for food banks in the 5th largest economy in the world and this government will not try to correct that no matter how much bluff they come out with, their backers won`t stand for it.

I agree there shouldn't be a need for food banks.

I disagree with the god old days, the country has never been equal and never will be, no matter which party forms a government.

But we have been less unequal,  the current problem is the widening gap.  Only people can reverse the trend, don`t expect Parliament to do it.

I agree mate but I don't think people want to be equal. I think wherever people are on the money tree they want to be further up.

Reminds me of a sketch on the frost report 1965? With the two ronnies and cleese ....... the class system?
