Best Vale 11 in your lifetime?

Seeing as we're so utterly crap at the moment, through no fault of the current manager, I thought it might be worth doing a thread won't include many, if any, of the current bunch of let downs. People here will be of all ages so teams have the potential to vary a lot. I started watching Vale in the late 90's. Off the top of my head I'd pick the below. It's not necessarily the 11 best players in each position, but will also include one or two personal favorites.

GK - Mark Goodlad

RB - George Abbey

CB - Neil Aspin

CB - Michael Walsh

LB - Allen Tankard

LW - Steve Guppy

CM - Micky Cummins

CM - Marc Bridge-Wilkinson

RW - Gareth Ainsworth

ST - Stephen McPhee

ST - Marc Richards

Safe to say that side would wallop our present day team.

No Robbie Earle, Goober, Simon Simon, Beckford, Foyle, Ray Walker, van der Laan, Glover, Sproson, Tommy Mac, Beamish, Cullerton, Andy Jones, Gnomey, Ian Taylor, Gardner? Probably before your time. How we dream of players like that in these depressing days.

Andy Hill a really unassuming player, quality at RB or CH .

Couldn't include Beckford or Earle as I only started going Vale right at the end of the season before they left so only saw them a couple of times.

 chamberlain,

Total class. Both. The amount of racist abuse they had to put up with upset me as a young boy. Russ Bromage did a job when switched to FB.

The wife’s being going to watch Vale regularly over the last couple of seasons. Here is her ‘best 11’ in her ‘lifetime as a Vale fan’. She’s going 442. Brace yourselves:

Brown

Gibbo

Legge

Smith

Monty

Taylor

Conlon

Wozza

Amoo

Pope

Cullen

Brings a bit of tear to the eye really, how have we fallen so far? I'd be 50/50 Pope, Beckford.  My wife's pick is

Grew

Mills Aspo Glover Tankard (?)

JJ Goober Earle Guppy

Leon Sodje
