League 2 Relegation fight

What a bizarre argument to make: "If they were going to have promotion then they should have had relegation but they can't have relegation because the leagues beneath them ceased".

Well quite. That's a pretty accurate summary of the situation, but it's not an argument against relegation from L2! Relegation and promotion should happen; where it can, it will, where it can't, it won't. Sorry, but bye bye.

They have got a point. But they should have made it months ago and maybe got the support of a lot of other clubs.

As far as I am concerned it is a ridiculous, all Grimsby and Southend are doing is changing places with 2 promoted teams. It doesn`t matter what happens at the other end of the league. Would Bristol Rovers have a case if Southend are not relegated?

Erm, the reason there is no relegation from the conference is that the league’s below were suspended. The conference itself was not.

I hope they are not spending money on this appeal!

No teams qualified for promotion from the  National North and South leagues, so there was no need to relegate any teams to accommodate them,  simple.  Money and fools are easily parted.

What's the alternative? Grimsby and Southend stay in League Two and there are 26 teams in the division with four relegation places next season? Can't see anyone agreeing to that.

The concern for Stevenage last year was that there was concern the 2020-21 National League season wouldn't happen and they'd have no league to play in. As it happened the EFL fudged it and kicked Macclesfield into oblivion, saving Stevenage.

Stevenange were annoying but they did have genuine concerns. Very half arsed this appeal from Grimsby and Southend.

Carol said about how she paid for Flitcroft and Clarke because she didn't want to be the owner to take Port Vale out of the Football League. I'm sure other clubs took the same approach and have spent their hard earned cash in order to try and avoid relegation.

If I was Carol I'd be wondering why I'd spent a load of money doing then when I might as well have kept Pugh in charge if there was never any danger of relegation and then bring in Flickers and DC in the summer. <ovf censored> to Grimsby, they hired Holloway and now they have to face the consequences!
