we have been depleted by injuries all season. Busiest room at the Vale is the physio room. Even we get some back they dont last before getting injured again.

I did say when he was appointed that I hoped Chris Banks is a better Physio than he was a player!

This season's injury-list doesn't suggest so, and Clarke has already publicly questioned it.

Gutted after that. We deserved something from the game. But that strike proves what having quality in your squad can do. I wouldn't back any of our players to come up with a moment like that to win a game.

Its all about the confidence. The contrast between the two teams you can sum up with our efforts on goal and the goal they scored. Most of our efforts where blocked because we want to take 2 or 3 touches before we feel like we can have a crack. There lad just ran on to the ball and smashed it.

The situation towards the end of the game where Burgess has it on the edge of the area, takes too many touches before a really soft pass to left to Taylor who then never looked like he really wanted to shoot either really sums up where we are as a team at present.

Its the same squad that nearly got us promoted.  Clarke is doing what he knows, he is setting up not to lose, but we will lose by the odd goal.  Today wasn't that bad but at the business end we need to score some goals.  Had Guthrie scored early doors it may have been different.  We won't go down, Clarke will keep us up.  I just hope he can move us on as time goes by.

It didn’t nearly get us promoted did it? We didn’t make the play offs. We probably would have done but Dosent mean we would have gone up. That was last season. He made the squad worse and key players are older. Agree with the rest of what you posted

What a great contribution 👏

Facts are facts though, like it or not, we have gained 2 pts from 9 and scored 1 goal.

Askey vs Stevenage LOST 2-1

Askey vs Orient  LOST 3-2

Askey vs Cambridge LOST 3-1

0pts and 8 conceded and this is your preferred man. Get a grip

3 wins in the last 21 league games. They need their confidence boosting somehow. Over to you Mr Clarke

The game started quite well win a free kick in a good area Conlon passed it to the goalie with the most hopeless free kick not I've ever seen but it was crap like all his balls in all afternoon .

Then Guthrie had that chance if you not going score make sure some else does by passing it .

Then that old fella Hollahan whatever is name is had a shot well saved by Brown and we carried on getting in ok areas but had no quality whatsoever even second half were getting on top for about 20 mins  but final ball nobody was getting on the end of  I mean Mills put a fabulous ball in ,do the strikers want score or what ?

Then we got really sloppy and only last ditch blocks from Crookes and Smith and Mills and fine save from Browny stopped us conceding .

Then Taylor got the ball in a decent area in there left hand of box and lost the ball and Conlon got turned and they banged in the end a deserved winner as we finished the game weakly and not with the conviction we supporters deserve .

Had to turn Birchall and Bowers off at half time they were getting on me nerves with there constant Vale Bashing and love in with Cambridge who if Guthrie takes his one on one chance we damn could of beat them.

Very disappointed
