Would appear he's leaving Stoke in the coming days.

Despite our differences, I'd like to place on record my gratitude to Ryan for providing many great memories for the city.

We'll never forget this moment. Thank you Ryan.

In these horrific times it’s so good to see the anti Stoke feelings are still prevalent. My faith in humanity is restored.

Remember when sjoke fans used to get defensive and angry whenever anyone mentioned that horrific tackle he did on Ramsay ?

Or his disaster of a debut for England when he gave a free kick away which resulted in Sweden winning the game.

Thank Zlatan that he got shown up to be totally out-of-his-depth on the international stage - it was particularly satisying after hearing them lot banging on for ages and ages about how he should be picked for England!

One-Cap Wonder (as in, people will always wonder how on earth he got a cap! 😆)

I used to hear 'Ramsey's leg had already been broken before Shawcross made contact'. Genuinely.

Of course, Stoke fans then became the laughing stock of the nation as they booed Ramsey every time he played them on the basis of 'he didn't accept Ryan's apology'. A very normal fanbase.

Yep. No more p!ss taking of Stoke fans, folks. That's it.

Sit quietly and applaud begrudgingly. Footy.

Sad but true. I’d like to think we’d be able to have players in our set up who will play for ten+ years and make hundreds of appearances at a decent level of consistency too.

Yes, but it’s the Lardies. They came to Houston in 2013 , when they were in the Premier League,  for a preseason friendly, and lost 2-0 . Shawcross was in the refs ear all night . He was skinned for both  goals. Just a friendly , but very enjoyable .

He can do what he wants as far as I'm concerned.

Decent player in his day but he's been a shadow of himself for a while since the wear and tear on his body began to take its toll.

If he manages to get himself a few $$$ seeing out his career pulling MLS players jerseys then fair play to him.

Has to be one of the worst ever players to win a cap for England. He was big and scored a few headers over his career but I've seen players with more ability down Dimensions. Has to be right up there with the likes of Michael Ricketts, Dave Nugent and Stuart Ripley.

He's no better than John McCombe but played in a 442 Pulis side with Huth next to him and 4 rottweilers in front of him.

You'd think he'd passed away from the outpouring. Jobbing centre half who stuck at Stoke as no one else was ever going to pay British Sterling for him. Move on.
