An absolute pub team game on a pub team pitch. Can Guthrie shot with his left foot or even both feet. Can't win a defensive header either. Hope Tom's back soon. I know a lot of people like a
Oaleke but he's not a ball winning midfielder. Ref was shocking.
Tge good news were a point better off.

Only at Port Vale could some people sound content with a striker that hasn't scored a goal all season and couldn't hit a barn door with the proverbial banjo.

Manager probably realises he has a big job on his hands. These players were doing their best to take us to the wrong end of the table. We are nowhere near a promotion challenging team. A point today acceptable, need to start picking up 3 points.

I for one am not content and I'm pretty sure the new management 'dream team' won't be.

Fancied a draw today.We've not been able to get many draws this season away from home and this is only our third after a 0-0 at Bradford and a 1-1 at FGR.

You do talk some absolute tripe. Clearly he’s not great but the beating he’s getting is a joke. As I’ve said, strikers aren’t just about goals, as long as they are able to bring other things to the team. Thought the way the game was today we needed presence today which without Pope only Guthrie brings.

Set up to not concede and a poor lapse in concentration from Gibbo cost us... but these things happen. First full game back so maybe not match sharp.

We looked more industrious, closed down well and all in all looked more solid... especially in the 442 which worries me given Joyce has struggled in a 4 in the past. Maybe because that’s what we have spent most on this week.

Some individual performances that were not great... but more from a quality rather than an aptitude point of view. A problem that can be fixed in the summer.

Will take a point away from home all day long.
