I’m sure I read he played left back a lot for Bradford Park Avenue

He did,maybe Clarke has seen something in him for that position when training,its just that we haven't seen him there,he has pace and can tackle and maybe not as hot headed as Monty. I notice that he said the squad has been built to play just one system and that he doesn't play just one system so looks like he will have to alter some players anyway

Will be interesting to see what the manager goes with tomorrow, The primary objective should be not to lose. Would be nice to win if we can. Got to provide greater protection for the back 4.

I'd go 4-2-3-1.

If DeVante is not fit:

Gibbo  Legge  Smith   Monty

            Oyeleke Joyce

     Worrall   Conlon  Taylor

                   Guthire

If Devante is fit;

Gibbo  Legge  Smith   Monty

           Joyce   Conlon

     Worrall   Taylor  Rodney

                   Guthire

The defence and defensive midfield need to be drilled and made effective in all aspects. Actually if we are going to play two defensive midfield players I would be tempted to try Smith in there. Just stop the opposition coming down the centre of the pitch and add weight both ends of the pitch at free kicks. Can he transition; doesn't need to improve much on the ball at League 2 level.

Campbell-Gordon did travel, you can see him on some of the players social media, might’ve been Theo’s. Theo has also travelled so suggests he’s possibly in Clarke’s plans. Pretty sure I also saw Legge too.

Why wouldn't Campbell-Gordon travel with the squad, he will benefit from the experience of being with the squad for a match.

Time for some wins.

Exactly right this. From the interviews I’ve seen of Clarke, he speaks very well and I’m happy how he comes across as a winner. I know he’s not a miracle worker but we need wins and fast. That table is poor reading and a couple of defeats in these next two games and it’s well and truly a relegation scrap. A win today is very much needed and get him off to the perfect start. I’m really hoping the players turn up and get us the vital points. It’s time for the players to step up now. This league is mostly about if you want it on the day and how you start games. If we can’t do this with a new manager then it’s time pack in.
