Does anyone know about Monty and fitness/availability?

He was training today and looked sharp. Rodney was training aswell. Amoo limped off with what looked like a hamstring injury

Now there is a surprise Amoo could be injured again.  

Wonder if rumour control is correct and the new manager is there tomorrow, then the players may actually start playing again like we know they can.  This is a need to win game and I don't care if its ugly, but 3 points would be great.

Shows how far we've fallen when Montano is seeing as a vital cog in our machine. Nothing against the guy, he's very likeable and on his day is useful. But in previous seasons nobody would have been too upset if he wasn't on any of the retained lists.

Really? I would say he was one of our best players after Christmas last season. Can play left back, left wing and up front. He's a brilliant player to have in the squad imo.

Shows how far we've fallen when Montano is seeing as a vital cog in our machine. Nothing against the guy, he's very likeable and on his day is useful. But in previous seasons nobody would have been too upset if he wasn't on any of the retained lists. 

The fact a winger is keeping our left back out the side when he's fit shows how poor recruitment was. To be fair Monty was dog dirt when he first came but the last couple of seasons he has been good when fit.

I agree, he's one of our better players now and his versatility makes him one of the most important. But go back a few years and there were plenty of people saying he was as good as useless as he didn't have a final ball, and was always injured etc. He's still inconsistent (like most L2 players to be fair) and injury plagued though, even now.

My only point being is that I remember the days where a lot of people had him on there "To be released" list at the end of a season. Now he's arguably our best player along with Worrall and Conlon.

Exactly. When fit. He's not quite the liability Oyeleke is but he's not far away at times. Genuinely seems unable to put a decent run of games together.
