There was absolutely no need to call carol a bitch. That's shameful on your part

I feel desperately desperately sorry for Carol

Don’t see why we sacked Askey to not appoint anyone. I honestly think we’d have done better with him still in charge.

With terrible results and fans ranting on social media, it's starting to feel toxic at Vale again. Obviously fans can say what they want and have an opinion but it's the personal ones and the abusive ones I see that makes me cringe. Calling out Carol for helping out struggling families because your team lost is not the right way to go

I don't blame Carol for this though , a disaster of a summer recruitment and a pandemic has certainly been a massive factor.

My main worry is I can't see where the next win is gonna come. I have a horrible feeling its gonna go down to the last game of the season.

Sooner this season ends the better. Relegation would be a massive financial disaster and would be heartbreaking for Vale fans.

For god sake lads , wear your shirt with some pride and at least fight for it.

The pandemic is not an excuse every other club has had to deal with it too?

Legge baiting fans with Batman pictures on Twitter... then deleting it... like we were any better with him in the side. Massive <ovf censored>. Attitide stinks. And now Norman's piping up on Twitter as well... you really couldn't script it. The absolute joys of supporting this club.

I think he is saying the players are Robin a living.

Or that Vale play like Penguins!

Or that its been a Dark (K)night!

(.....or that watching Vale is dark and humourless, and not a patch on the Marvel Universe?!)

This is what you get at club's who have no stability.

Some on here would see the club changing the Manager twice a season then blaming everyone except themselves when we are relegated.

Carol is right in that this season is a season like no other and the worst thing that can be done is panic like the posts on here are demanding ... New Manager, anyone will do as long as he is experienced even if he has a record like Holloway.

Don't let's do the same as the Baggies who panicked and did what's being demanded on here. They will regret panicking and bringing in an experienced Manager.

Carol was panicked into sacking Askey, and you are now demanding the removal of Pugh.

We have been incredibly unlucky with results and injuries. For Pugh to contact Covid after one game in charge is abysmal luck. A Captain needs to be on his ship to affect its direction. It's ridiculous to suggest that he is able to give 100% from a covid sick bed.

We need stability now like never before. The players are totally lacking in confidence but they have talent as the same players got us this season into play offs.

Show some strength and patience

The last thing we need at the minute is Carol being panicked into a hasty change of mind.

She believes Pugh is the man for the job and there is nearly half a season for Pugh, when recovered from Covid, to get us back on track.

Just show some character guys and stop this scatter gun panic.

We were more patient than most other clubs would’ve been in Askey’s bad run. We don’t have time for patience. We did patience in 2016/17, look where that got us.

Yeah it’s always the fans fault isn’t it 🤔 how will that patience be when we’re in non league

Unlucky with the results. You couldn’t make it up. We’ve been outplayed literally every bloody game.

injuries. Quite sure every side has them

Folk need to calm down a bit.
Most of you wanted Askey gone and a new expensive man put in who was going to take the same group of players and turn it around.  During a global pandemic, with no income and uncertainty everywhere.  I told you weeks ago, Askey isn't the problem and since he has gone its descended into a playground, much like what he had to sort out when he first arrived.
We would not have gone down under Askey and he would have turned it around.  However, with Sinclair on the touchline we have every chance of going down now.
Askey didn't bring Sinclair to the club.  Sinclair has poisoned every club he has coached at.  I kept telling you all that there was a problem, somebody undermining the manager and upsetting the unity of the squad but oh no, Askey blah blah blah...
Now we have people talking about how they would have kept Askey had they known.
If I was Carol I would be begging Askey to come back and tell him he can punt out of the door whoever he sees fit!
Correct the big problem is the players.

Problem for Askey is a lot of them problems, he recruited.

Good post but have to take you to task on unlucky with results quote.

We have not been unlucky, schoolboy errors, lack of concentration and lack of a plan.

Not bad luck .

Its pretty clear what we need.  Pugh/Sinclair have had 4 games yet we are still making the same fundamental mistakes. The fullbacks are constantly out of position, the distance between the two centre halves is to wide. If we continue as we are we will be relegated.

We are in this position because we left it too late to sack Askey in the first place and not acted to bring a management team to sort it out. The longer it goes on the harder it will be to turn around as the confidence completely drains.
