I'm a bloke who doesn't get too up or down but we are staring into the abyss here...on the 26th January. We are terrible. Someone mentioned we play like schoolboys...I've had better U16s. It is bewildering and frightening how poor we are. Where is the next point, not even goal, coming from?

We are in a very dangerous position...tonight could finish up 5-0 and we are in freefall. We definitely need a new managerial set up but...it will still be this bunch of shirts on the pitch!!!!

Genuinely very worried by their body language, levels of organisation and desire to play for Vale....hope I'm wong.

We need a new manager NOW.

Without we will be relegated unless there are two teams worse, which i doubt.

We have to beat Southend, Barrow, Grimsby, Harrogate,  plus others.

There was absolutely no need to call carol a bitch. That's shameful on your part

I feel desperately desperately sorry for Carol

Don’t see why we sacked Askey to not appoint anyone. I honestly think we’d have done better with him still in charge.

When we signed Taylor everyone was over the moon. Not only hoping that he would make us safe this season but a player for the future. Forest must think he could be sold at a to fit otherwise they wouldn’t have put a clause in the deal. Carol did what the fans wanted and in these times that very admirable. There were other teams after him so we obviously had to give him the most lucrative deal, it was also the only time he’d be available. The football industry is totally dysfunctional, someone has one good season their value rockets then they go back to being ordinary. I agree that we do need a permanent experienced manager, but is cash the problem.?

Carol shouldn't do what the fans want where signings are concerned, you say other teams were in for him only in Sprosons ( CON-LON) world and Scunthorpe didn't try very hard to keep him, waste of a wage should have gone for a centre half.

None of those annoyed me except for not looking at the CVs on her desk thing. Almost disrespectful to those who did apply. And if 30-40 managers want to manage my club I'd definitely be interested to see their CVs. Maybe I'd look through them for an hour and none would stand out to me but I would definitely be eager to have a look. Strange that one.

That was a bad comment that came out of Vale Park.  Carol and Co have received nearly 40 CVs, but have not looked at them yet and not sure when they will look.  The good managers will no doubt feel stuff you bitch when she does finally contact them and ask them for a interview.

CV comments and sinclair talking about Legge as if he was a piece of rubbish has pizzed fans off.  It just makes the club look amateurish.

An interesting point of view, which is why I enjoy the game. He did really well for us so I suppose you didn’t want him and that you didn’t enjoy the time when he was here last season.

How often does Joyce give the ball away
Worrying thing is, if we don't concede this half, he'll start on Saturday for that very reason. He's on a par with Whitehead and thats a hell of a difficult thing to achieve

No... fans are wrong for pretending they qualifications to wanting him out.

They didn’t... it was vitriolic.

It was but we were heading out the league without a change... we still are in fact.

Askey definitely seemed to feel like he was being undermined. Whether he was right or not I don't know. But we needed to sort it out by either sacking Askey getting rid of those who were undermining him.

Carol chose to sack Askey. It's clear now that we need a new manager rather than allow Pugh to muddle through

People now victory lapping, claiming 'we shouldn't have sacked Askey after all!' as a squad built by him slips to 2 wins in 17 (he's only been gone 5 games and one of those wins came after his departure) in a season we expected top 7, look really, really daft.

If clubs like Morecambe can afford Derek Adams in COVID conditions, why can't we appoint someone with a degree of competency?

This is Askeys team, full stop. We have to have a new manager NOW.

There is NO management. We are being run by a group of coaches, inexperienced at that.

We cannot hzve six new players this week but we can have a new manager. He will have to be good but what an incentive for him, keep us up and then start from scratch.

If our owners dont go for a new manager now, i really fear for our future and how far the owners can take us.

Seriously now, Joyce must have a pass completion below 50%

Poor player BUT better than Taylor tonight. Lets admit it.

We have the ball but never look like scoring do we. Never create a chance really. I know lets knock a ball in the air and see.

When did we last beat a plyer out wide and pull a cross back
