Mate it’s not rubbish the manager needs to be there to be judged properly

We’re not very good I admit but we ain’t dead certs go down

I’d rather not risk it and give him a chance tbh. I’ve seen absolutely nothing to suggest he’s up to the job. If we risk it and fail, we go down. Like a carbon copy of Brown in our relegation season. Proper manager in please.

Do you read her diary?

It was clear from the RS interview that Pugh was an enforced decision. She's already committing to underwriting the £1m loss ffs. I want an experienced nasty bstard to come in and Pugh etc booted out more than anyone but people need to not conveniently ignore the big picture here and act entitled. No surprise TJH is attacking her again after embarrassing himself other week attacking the Hubb Foundation for feeding kids below the poverty line - with donated food at at zero cost to the football club.

To be clear, Pugh/Sinclair fills me with dread. It's giving me genuine PTSD of the Page/Brown/Aspin years, the hopelessness and the anger. I've been waiting for weeks for her to act. But take it out on the dogshlt on the pitch, not the woman who's underwriting another seven figures this year after originally paying an actual obscene ransom fee to a parasite who, in his own words, was threatening to liquidate, and I quote verbatim, "to plss the fans off and get his own back on Burslem."

My comments on Carol are perfectly legitimate in terms of the decisions that have been taken as a football club.

I don’t agree that any club resources or the club itself should be used as a front for a community meals drive. Donate money to the Red Cross or some other charity that can, but not as a club initiative. We don’t have the resources like larger clubs to do that.

I pay money to support the club, I’m watching tonight and feel that this current losing run is starving the community of joy. The best thing a football club can do for a community is win football games.

Let me say this. Port Vale playing rubbish football and in the national league will be far more damaging to the community in loss of earning and jobs from matchday income going forward than the benefits of any “ham sandwich” community drive.

A successful Vale in the Championship meanwhile will bring in money to local businesses and jobs to a much greater extent than any charity drive would or could.

Wish I could be that optimistic. These are an awful team and they’ve played us off the park. I think we are in serious danger.

Points on Carol which have annoyed me :

- How she basically came out and said it’s Pugh’s job to lose because we won against Grimsby.

- The whole Pugh is a nice guy and the players like him.

- Her saying that players rang her to apologise after Askey was sacked. As if she thought we were suddenly going to go on a long unbeaten run.

- The fact that she said that’s she’s barely looked at any applications. What message does that give?

- Wanting to just ‘get through’ this season with half of the season to go.

On the whole she’s been a breath of fresh air and I really want us to be successful under her. However, she can’t be immune to criticism.

Just my opinion.

None of those annoyed me except for not looking at the CVs on her desk thing. Almost disrespectful to those who did apply. And if 30-40 managers want to manage my club I'd definitely be interested to see their CVs. Maybe I'd look through them for an hour and none would stand out to me but I would definitely be eager to have a look. Strange that one.
