who am I kidding, I will🥴

Me too my love is massive for Vale if these so called players take us down just because of there disdain for one man when its upsetting thousands of others (fans)then i will never want to hear there names again .

It's time like always for them to show the fans how much it means play for the club and the ones who just see it as a job then they go hopefully for Vales sake find pastures new and annoy another set of supporters .

Do not let your hate of one man cloud your judgement when it's you who the fans pay to watch it's you who folk spend thousands on yearly and it's you who get judged for how you apply yourself and it's you who the responsibility lies with .

Two poor teams in bad form.

Would love Guthrie to get a goal and get off the mark. We really need to start believing we can get goals in games. Problem is that we have chopped and changed our frontline so much we don't know how we are going to score. I guess one of the things we should see in coming weeks (with pope out and robinson frozen out) is atleast a bit of consistency with whoever plays up top.

I'd love to see a bit more of Guthrie and Cullen ok there scoring records have not being great lately but I saw a lot of promise in that last 10 mins v Walsall ,we actually finished the game well ,well let's not wait 78 mins before we have a go ,go at the from the kick off then who knows both of them could net UTV

I'll predict it now. Feel free to call me out on it come 8.45:

1. Our back 5 (Joyce and brown included) will launch long hopeless balls forward at every opportunity, hoping for that killer ball that never comes.

2. From these long balls, we will run like headless chickens towards the ball in the manner of schoolboys, and invariably fail to win the second ball.

3. Our defence and/or keeper will make some kind of howler.

4. Mills and joyce will give the ball away with terrible passes more than any other players.

5. Fitzpatrick will be caught out of position more than once.

6. Despite being starved of service, Guthrie will be declared not the answer.

7. 1 out of 10 of Worralls crosses will find a vale player, if we're lucky

8. we will manage to commit more fouls than the opposition despite being a less physical side

9. Conlon will pick up a yellow card

10. we will lose out in the vast majority of tackles and 50/50 balls

Come on phil we played them off the park at home and had zero luck ,if we approach this game to go for it theres no reason why we cannot win and win well .

First game v them there was a stonewall penalty not given, what goes around comes around as long as the players realise they play for Port Vale not frank Sinclair so no  excuses not be getting something out of this evenings game .

Remember my last visit to Scunny we lost 3 nil Billy Sharpe scored a couple for them, we were luck to get nil totally out played. I just hope we can be up little more up for a game of football and at least put a bit of effort in . I can’t help but wonder if some of these home performances were in front of a crowd, just what would happen!!

So I am reading this morning as I awaken that none of the players like Sinclair, as a long term follower and many matches attended supporter of Port Vale I find that quite disturbing as I thought they were under performing because they all fell out with Askey .

To be honest, I don't care whether the players like Sinclair or not - and neither should he. It's irrelevant and they should just get on with the job.

The bigger question is whether they respect him. To be frank (no pun intended), while he may have his UEFA A coaching badge, his track record of putting any of it into practice is pretty dismal. He wouldn't get a look in, in my view, in any properly competitive field. So that's a very big question for him.

All of which puts us in a pretty dire position, if you ask me.

What still rankles is the treatment dished out to Legge and the lack of any clear explanation of why he left. Leon is a man of great integrity who's been respected and liked (the elusive combination) wherever he's been. I still recall, after seeing the reception he got from the Cambridge fans when he came on against us as sub in his last game, thinking how fantastic it would be if we could recruit a centre half of his stature. So, amid all the rumours, how come we end up treating a player of his standing with such apparent disdain?

It's all very serious to me - reputationally damaging to the club and probably, looking at our current hapless centre back pairing - damaging on the pitch too, despite Leon's recent lapse in form.

Back to the present, I have no confidence in Sinclair to see us off to a victory tonight and, after Saturday, I doubt I'll put myself through watching it.

Along with many others on this site, I've always said promoting internally would be the wrong thing to do and it's not looking too good at present.

If we lose tonight, we are in dire straits.

Same here- is it worth it - Come 1830hrs will be listening to Radio Sjoke for the build up.  1900hrs listening to the Scunny commentary, as Radio Sjoke haven't switched the button according to IFollow for their commentary.

You think we will get well and truly beaten after the previous games performances - but you live in hope the good Vale team turn up and surprise you with magical passing on the floor, balls lofted into their box from the wingers.  Our striker(s) connecting every time with lofted balls into the box, either scoring or making their goalie work.  Ending in a cracking game and result.  Playing like the team we have seen at the beginning of the season and take Scunny to bits.

What we will probably get - 1 striker marked by 2 defenders, so has no chance to connect with anything.  Wingers lobbing balls into the opposite corner flag.  Midfield having a picnic and our defenders watching Scunny strikers and midfield players scoring for fun.  Every ball kicked out of defence will either go out or straight to a Scunny player to put pressure on us.

But thinking this - we will all watch/listen to the game and wonder why we did it. Why - because we love the Vale. 🤪

Yes I have always when covid wasn't here enjoyed Leon Legges performances ,since covid a few sending offs and a downturn in performances but give me him over Smith any day of the week and in the games I have  watched on ifollow it's this season it's usually Leon doing the work of two in my opinion and that's bound affect your judgement eventually .

Shameful but he is still in the 22 man squad hopefully he is back tonight in place of much loved Smith the local lad who's performances are going downhill quicker than eddie the eagle but no matter what he does in games he is selected maybe still enthusing about his performance v Oldham where he was what he is supposed be every game brilliant we can only hope if he yet again selected he plays well as Legges a 6 /7 out of ten player for me every game and he should be replacing him UTV
