bending the rules?

having now given up watching that awful match of the day programme, i was wondering if any valiants out there have any suggestions as how to improve the experience of watching football matches when we return. Here are some ideas to start you off;

1. Keep political demos away from matchday.

2. players celebrations should be tempered, after all why are they so suprised when they score!

3 offside only given when whole body is infront of the defence-otherwise play on.

4. tributes to be only made say at half time.

5 make corners as before (ball inside the d) none of this petty 1cm othe ball touching the d.

6 ban spitting.

7. which ever side of the goal the ball goes out-the goal kick is taken there.

8. pass the ball forward from the kick off.

9. respect the  lines people and the 4th official.

10. subs warm up properly at halftime. play to the whistle.😷

Defo support 1 and 9. What about making sure the goalkeeper is on his line until the ball is kicked for a penalty. For some pens the goalie appears to move off his line and forward before the ball is kicked.

Something needs to be done about the offside law, should it be based on the position of the attacking player's feet in relation to the defender's feet.

There was nothing wrong with the offside law as it was, should never have been changed in the first place.

All this his toe, heel, elbow and nose are offside just gives the pundits something to talk about, if you are clearly offside your off, if not play on.

Less "protection" for goalkeepers. They have a massive advantage in that they can use their hands. If a keeper decides to come for a ball and misses/drops it all he has to do is flop on the floor and they get a free kick.
Long gone is "shoulder charging of goalies over the goal line" but still dangerous using hands where others have booted feet.

im meaning on the pitch!!!!!!!!!!!

It'd have to cover everything if that was the rule. So BLM, Poppies on kits, rememberance day minutes silence, rainbow laces etc.

I agree with you on most of your rules, but in my view not this one as i think its good to support these things publicly.

To encourage attacking play I would like goals scored to be used again as the decider if points tallies are equal. Whilst good defensive play is a key part of the game we are gonna score more than you games are much more exciting. Also maybe awarding a bonus point for every 5 goals scored over 80 in a season.

I would also like to see time wasting tallied in a game without holding up play. Something like the ref waving a pink card in the air without talking to anyone. This could be tallied over a season and a point deducted for every 5 or used before goals scored to decide position if points tallies are equal.

If a player is sent off against you, you should be able to choose the game(s) that the player is banned for.
