It looks to me that the some of the players have give up on the club they would not play for Askey looks like they could not be bothered to turn up for Sinclair the club must have a big cash flow problem. Has Carol asked the players to give up there bonuses and just take basic wages  the workers at her other company must be asking why are the players earning so much each week. The players that have been delisted where they some of highest paid and had to be taken off the books to help the club though the rest of the season and don't like it. if the only long term injury prone player is no where near ready to get back in the team why have the club not delisted this player or because of him being injured they can't remove him from the squad. If a new manager came in i don't think these players would turn up for him'

If a player is de-registered the club still has to pay him unless he moves to another club so the size of his salary is irrelevant.

The players were performing ok until the keeper had a mare,

Issue with Legge was probably the amount of games at his age in short times, however now there are far fewer midweek games, this one then the next is end of February.

Don’t know what’s gone off but silly decision for me.

If Legge has gone and we dont replace then it could be a disastrous decision. He has played poorly recently and deserved to be left out but its hard to see Smith and Brisley keeping him out. God help us if we have one injured and need Crookes for several games , that is a relegation defence.

Mills had one of his better games yesterday to be fair, certainly not shocking, so maybe we can bring Gibbo back gradually over the next coupe of games.  Gibbo's status is helped by his style of play, all action, never say die.  We don't have anyone else like him in that regard.  I'd like to see more of it from Smith.  He seems to have lost some of his aggression so far this season.

G R.   I thought Mills was shocking and i want Gibbons back now or someone else. No Mills again for me.

We started slowly, and then got back in to it. All the goals in my opinion are very avoidable. Most annoyed about 1 and 2. 3 is just not worth thinking about.

After the slow start I thought we looked OK without really looking like we knew how to win the game. Second half was less impressive.

The problem we had is the two full backs arent up to it. Gibbons return should help us out no end. We need another CB to help Smith.
I didnt think the midfield 3 were too bad. Joyce maybe a little slow but I dont think it was bad. Conlon brilliant and I also thought Taylor had a good game.

Disappointed by our wingers. Their left and right back looked just as inept as ours but we never really got at them or challenged them.

Guthrie put himself around a bit. But he just isnt going to score enough goals. Certainly not at this level. Its only one game I suppose, so let's give him the benefit of the doubt, but he never looked a threat.

Seasons done now.

Guthrie can score goals. Look at the video of him doing so.

Problem is he needs service and crosses from out wide

I actually thought we were ok first half and were looking as though we gelling together and attempting to be offensive.

2nd half however we AGAIN disintegrated into an unorganised, lacking in confidence mess. What happens at half time?

Walsall were no great shakes. They rode their luck with 3 apalling errors by us.

As a long standing fan of over 40 years I have experienced all kinds of ups and downs, false promises and downright rubbish performances but the frustrating thing now is that we have resurrected the ailing Club with the new owners BUT appear to be going backwards in many senses on and off the field.  I did not expect a complete turnover of fortunes immediately after Carol/Kevin took control but are there honestly any good signs coming from the club now as to our rise up the League and future progression? I am a patient man, have to be being a Valiant! The problem seems to be that we are hearing constantly now and I personally know quite a few regulars, who are suggesting enough is enough and next season they will keep their hard earned cash firmly in their pockets. This worries me greatly.

As a fanatic of you own Club you ought to ride out poor periods, we know, we've had enough of those! In this pandemic age though many fans are losing jobs, having difficulties in making ends meet and are looking to economise. Add to this the growing number of disallusioned season ticket holders and there is recipe for massive concern about Vale's future. without income the Club will not be able to survive in the Football League.

There have many times I've felt like jacking it in but my footballing life has ensured I remain faithful to Vale. There may be hundreds, if not thousands soon that will not have the same enthusiasm or some would say idiotic allegiance to Vale. That is concerning me.

The powers that be have to safeguard their investment and it's now rapidly approaching(if not already upon us) the time when serious action is required on an urgent basis. As fans we surely need reassurance that matters will be resolved? If we carry on simply burying heads in the sand hoping all will be OK, then the unthinkable may happen. Vale are not immune to dropping out of the League, or dropping so far down the League regularly to cause concern.

My hope is that Carol/Kevin are sufficiently wise and footballing astute to drag us out of this and spread good vibes to the ailing fanbase. Fingers crossed.

UTV/VTID.

This is a tremendous post. Our owners have some huge decisions to be made and made URGENTLY.

Great response mate instead of having a debate about my post and discussing the points which id happily do just take a sly dig instead. I forgot you cant have a opinion unless you agree with everything that port vale fc say or do. Grow up

Why waste my time debating with you?  You've expressed your opinion but seemingly you don't like it when I express mine as a response.  What's sly about it?  You've posted all these great theories why things aren't going to plan which basically boils down to Askey has gone now so you can't blame him any longer, you've now moved on to Carol.  Dress it up however you like.

You honestly thought he was shocking yesterday?  Not poor, shocking?  Really?  Your idea of shocking must be different than mine.  The  goals were shocking, not a lot else.  I didn't see much of a threat from Walsall down our right side to be honest.  I don't remember Mills making many mistakes either.  Granted Gibbo would be first choice but what's the point in rushing him back unless it's absolutely essential.

These were good goals in this league.
Oh for Reggie now. Could he do any worse ? Yes i suppose.

In fairness as gangly as he was big Reg did score a few for us! He may have appeared not to know what he was doing but seemed to confuse the defenders who didn’t either! I wouldn’t of minded seeing how he’d have done at this level when we went down.

Would of scored more than Barnett that’s for sure!

Where’s it say Legge is deregistered? Sinclair says he’s still training well and acting professionally and will be ready to step in again should he be needed, if he’s deregistered he won’t be able to step in.

And as Sinclair rightly says it’s not his position to answer that question, it’s for the manager to answer.

A very simple question to answer , yes or no.  The supplementary question might be harder.
