We seem to love testing Brown with back passes.  We are starting to attack their half and all of a sudden we are going backwards and hitting a ball back to Brown.  Have they not learnt that the pitch is too bobbly to do that.  We need to score, so stop going backwards you muppets.

I think Browns had more touches than our midfield combined, it's either pass back to Brown or hoof it.

Brown has been struggling for weeks, if we had a manager with bottle he would have been dropped weeks ago, regardless how good he was last season

He has but we have nowt to replace him with. Which is the issue all over the park. Full backs and centre backs, Joyce in the middle. Age has caught up with our experienced players and we have nowt to replace them with. Askey has really shafted us with his pre season recruitment.

Finally a benefit of covid - I'm not freezing my extremities off watching this at Vale Park

Only thing worse than watching this crap would be watching it in person in the cold. I can just imagine it now.

That’s Pugh’s chance of being manager gone

Might as well have kept Askey because absolutely nothing has changed. It's embarrassing.

Agree.  No change in formation. Defence still watching players go past them.  Midfield - do we have one.  The lone striker who just gets marked by 2 players.  Balls into the striker is just hoof up to the opposition to clear and then score.

Subs are done too late to allow the players to change anything.  Then it is like for like most times.

Some of the players are just not motivated to play by the sounds of it as well.

What was the point in sacking Askey? What’s changed?

Correct decision, the wrong decision is not to replace him with an experienced manager. Askey had very little league experience, Pugh has zero. Longer we go on without a good manager the more we will sink.
