Playoff positions all but sorted?

Depends where the bar is set. Maybe a touch pessimistic but we've got 45 points already and you normally need at least 73 to scrape into the play offs.

 

I think we'll have win against some of the teams above us, take points off them and try to drag them back into a scrap, rather than it being a straight race between us and Oxford (or whoever) to get 7th.

 

There will be a few six pointers between teams in the top seven between now and May so keep an open mind.

Average 2 points a game from now on and we'll definitely be in the playoffs. The last playoff place will probably be around the 71 point mark so ave 1.67 per game should just be enough. That's win one draw one draw one. It can be done, and under the circumstances credit to Mickey and that lads that they are in this position. What we need is to keep consistantly picking up points. Any run of losses and there's no chance.

If the team got promotion - which I don't think it will - then the current Board would use it as an excuse to stay and then proceed to carry on as before in a higher league which produces no significant additional benefits in terms of income and with a squad which isn't up to it. We'd go down, or be forced down due to the points loss and be back where we are now, but in a worse position financially.

 

A new board after the EGM would both change my mind about this and bring me back to VP. Sadly, I can't see that happening either.

 

Admin is the only way, and lets hope we are still in the league after the points deduction.

Yeh Vale are rubbish can't believe it's taken so long to go into admin, it's taking almost two years but can't wait ,it's the only reason I don't go. When we finally get there I'm having the vale badge tattoo with the date we manage it, come on vale
