Can I please buck the trend and confirm I am 100% not in the know.

I have preferences as to who I'd like it to be but I have no inside information and I have no interest in hearing so-called inside information.

I hope the club do take their time and make a sensible decision. I trust them to make the right one as they will be the ones directly interviewing candidates and not relying on stats at previous clubs, hearsay or social media gossip.

I am more than happy to not know who it is until it is announced.

It may even be a welcome return to the days when clubs announced signings without "in the know" social media accounts "announcing" them the day before.

p.s. I know these are Covid times but when that passes, have the club thought about a return to the "old" days when signings were often met in hotels or similar? Wasn't Andy Jones signed outside the Rhyl ground? It may put an end to car park spotters posting spoilers about who was at VP the other day...

Back in the day (late 70’s) I was playing Squash at a club in Biddulph frequented by Vale players and saw Bill McGarry being interviewed by the then Vale Board. I was definitely in the know. I told my mates and revelled in this knowledge only to find out he’d turned us down! I think Bobby Smith got the job.
