Next Manager

Whatever (and I think Toyah’s post was well intended but misinterpreted) we need this sorting out now, it’s dragged on for ages so let’s get a decision early next week please. 

Was definitely a poor dig at charity work. I hope the poster is never struggling to put food on the table.

A few have been shown around i think and i do THINK that an announcement will be imminent as in early next week so the new man has time to work with the team before our next game

The club foundation gave out something like 100,000 meals last year. David's a big lad but I'm sure he won't eat us out of house and home

I agree. Carol said it was an investment so I believe she has funded it herself as a lomg term investment. I do stand to be corrected if wrong.

I don’t think we’ll be going down at all. The “project” is a lot longer term plan than just sorting out some of this seasons players. That’s really short term and I imagine some will be gone at the end of the season anyway and the rebuilding behind the scenes will be ongoing for a long time yet. The new manager has to buy into the new structure and how we want to work, this is a totally different type of environment that we’re used to and getting a new manager to fit that is maybe that’s why it could take a bit longer than normal?
This change in direction for the footballing side is probably the biggest change in most of our lifetimes at the club, both in terms of an identity and a vision that an owner is trying to implement. 
 

In all fairness I have believed we needed this kind of a stricture for a long time amd its a fantastic investment. Finally Port Vale is building a structure for the long term.

Roy of the Rovers of Melchester Utd used read them book me dad had them passed them down to me ,wheres our new manager lol thought it was 16.00 yesterday ,tut tut never mind I'm sure someone will get it right one day .

I'm going for Tom Pope player manager as thenthe statement the other week about your new manager is watching is correct .

Do I think it's a good appointment well yeah I do as surely no one who represents Vale in the future willbe able hide on the pitch as with Tom being Vale like us they will get what's coming to them UTV

I'm.sure your right as I do not think it will be Tom but I hope he always has employment he certainly as earned it .

Tom Popes contribution has been top notch over the years I for one thank him for his wholehearted efforts

I’d love to know what Sinclair has supposedly done that’s so bad? He’s a coach at the end of the day. That’s it.
