If he is wanted 130 k a year then in managers of football clubs that's not a lot but for a club like the Vale who already have to pay a ransom anyway then no chance should be get that if he got 80k a year its 54 k more than me and that's more reasonable and I'm happy earning my 26k a year and I have work through the night get that .

Get it sorted shouldn't be all about money fair enough if next season when the fans are back in (hopefully)and all of a sudden Vale are averaging 6500 for home games because your the business and you got all the 22 man squad playing above themselves then you be rewarded and if you do not think your getting paid enough all 6500 of us will chuck a quid in a bucket for you and give you what we can not afford give you now and if we could why should we(As in carol and the board team )why you have proved diddly squat to us yet .

Lets be honest; the name's Flitcroft, McGreal etc. have not come out of the club at any time during this ongoing process. Thee names have been flung in the ring via the latest betting odds and our own local media. OK, so we have had the same coming out of national media, bit where do you think they get their stories from, eh? Yes, the bookies and the locals. We can all speculate, but maybe, just maybe the bookies are wrong and Radio Joke are talking out of their backside as usual and none of the names being flung about are actually on the shortlist. We just don't know! It may be the worst kept secret in football after all, or, utter bull****. But when Carol says she hopes to have someone in place before Saturday's match at Tranmere, lets just give here the rest of today, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday morning to do that before we start a mass panic attack! It'll be whoever it is, and will be announces whenever. Yes, am also on the edge of my seat and want to know yesterday, but nothing I do can chivvy things along one iota.

We are Vale fans wanting the best for our Club and participating on this forum want news/facts and truths. We do not want the continuing unsubstantiated rumours that can actually do everything but galvanise the fan base.

The club are NOT going to divulge all details of every candidate, NOT going to tell us what sums are involved, NOT going to tell us news that is ficticious .

We do have excellent owners who are well versed in running a business and we need to allow them to bring the best possible for our Club, without the constant tittle tattle about players, contracts, fall outs etc, etc. It is tedious to come on here and try and look between the pages of conjecture to find scraps of intelligent, honest , truthful fact. Yes it's a forum but come on some of you, let's not enter into arguments or inane scam mongering so as to help some people's egos grow.

Let Carol/ Kevin and Co do their job, which any true Valiant knows is absolutely in the full and best interests of our great Club. 

We are at a point in our history when the owners want our FULL support. 

Brilliantly put... we have suffered the curse of the "In the Know" brigade!

The club is very leaky at the moment... info is getting out and it feels like people are hearing snippets of info from people within the club and then taking it as gospel.

People are now upset about maybe giving the job to Pugh (which no one has said we will) because a bloke no one can confirm was offered the job turned us down for an unknown reason (which people apparently know is money).

Is it though? People are making wild guesses and assumptions out of what few clear statements the Club makes. That's not leaks at the club, it's over-active imaginations and the desire to be seen as "in the know"!

This is a great sentiment, but Flitcroft was being lined up.

Please provide some evidence. Sick of all the posts claiming to know exactly what is going on. There are lots of sensible posts on here, rightly stating that we don't really know what is happening behind the scenes, even those who might be slightly in the know don't have all of the facts. Only Carol and the immediate circle around her will be directly involved in the confidential recruitment process and rightly so. The new manager will be announced once he has been appointed. It could be one of several candidates. Everyone can decide if they are happy or not with the clubs choice at that point.

Someone is definitely leaking info. The Taylor and Guthrie deals were well known before they happened

People knew Askey was gone hours before the announcement. The club has been a sieve of information for a while.

I don't have written evidence to hand, but all I know is that we have been in talks with Flitcroft. Not sure about anything else, whether it's fallen through or anything. Just that he was in the picture.

My only concern is other than Flitcroft I wouldn't want any of the names so far mentioned. And I cannot understand why Derick Adams hasn't been sounded out. IF true of course.
Either Flitcroft, Adams or Pugh for me.
Another concern is the role Sinclair or Players are playing in all this.
Again rumors, so they are either true and leaks are getting out, which is a concern and she needs clamp down on it and also solve the prob. Or someone is stirring behind the scenes.

You can't stop leaks in football. As soon as someone turns up in the carpark it will get out, even wearing a facemask.

How do you know?
My understanding that whatever wage he gets doesn't all come from the club and he works across the family trusts and businesses. What he gets paid in total and how much comes from each pot I have no idea. I cant imagine he's on mega bucks.

He is employed by and paid by synectics like the rest of the people who sit on the board Vale don't pay them anything.
