Apart from at Mansfield where I'm pretty sure he just stuck with one formation pretty much all season. I think he's been criticised in the past by some fans for seeing to confuse players with constant changes.

He wasn't my first choice at all but i dont get this underwhelming? why?

1 promotion 1 play off  and got swindon to play off place before leaving and kept a championship side up,as i say not my first choice but i wont be underwhelmed

Reading the mansfield forum they say Flitcroft had them playing lovely football and it's taken until Clough got there to get them playing and looking like a decent side.

They also say he had a very good budget as he did at Bury and they dont think he will get that here.

Whatever has been agreed with the owners, we  already have the makings, obtaining the necessary improvements part of the package, and required  progress. Budget limitations are different in any case now.
