The more I read of Robinson, the more I quite like the look of him.

Took 'Well to third, Europe, and secured £6m in transfer income, wiping the clubs debt and blooding a load of young talent, combined with clever recruitment. The squad was ripped apart every summer. 

He choose to leave having felt he could take them no further after a ropey run of form.

People will naturally decry the Scottish league but that is where Adams, who most are clamouring for, learned his trade before getting Plymouth promoted.

I guess his poor spell at Oldham will be held against him.

I know Bury fans who where very complementary how they played under Flitcroft.

When we played Mansfield under him I thought they passed the ball around nice without looking too much of a goal threat. 

I will be fairly happy with him... not as flash as others names banded about but he does have a decent managerial record. I think he is pretty no nonsense too which we certainly need.

You know what 4th division managers are good at? Managing and being in the 4th division. 
 

If that’s what we want for Vale, then fine. 

 

Since his job at Blackpool, Holloway has had four jobs, played 225 games and had a win percentage of less than 30%.  His worst spell has been his most recent at Grimsby.  He is way past his sell by date.

Re Robinson, a quote from my mate, a ST holder at Motherwell.

When we had hard workers in team 4 4 2 with long ball when a bit of flair 4 3 3 with  speedy wingers so he adapts to the players he has Dave . Holloway was a good fit at a perfect time with Blackpool 

The club was an absolute circus and he had the right personality to create a crazy gang atmosphere with the players.

It was a one in a million combination. 

He's done nowt anywhere else.

Still manages to big himself up of course.

Apparently new manager is being appointed on monday so i would guess the bookies shortening of the odds of flitcroft it could be him

Never thought of Flitcroft, but he's very relevant and an excellent shout. I like the thought of Paul Cook, but would be delighted with either.
