All said and done when you are selected to play you have to leave that pitch knowing that you have given everything, can the players who represented us yesterday say that ,if they can then the lot of them need be released ,all the starting 11 bar Hurst it's one thing to not play for the manager (blatantly they do not want too ,)but to take it out on the support that is totally unacceptable .

I can take defeats no problem I've seen plenty but since the Kings Lynn debacle there has being some quite unbelievable goals conceded.

It seems to me the players have no pride in the shirts they wear  ,put the majority on transfer list is the only option surely as Carol as already said she backs her manager how I will never know but if the players continue to not play not for him then non league here we come which would be desperately sad for the supporters but so be it if that's the case ,however those who took us there (players)will be forever disliked and talked about derogatory.

So over to you players its ON you our future ,shape up or get lost  love Vale always

As professions go the difficulty level to play football is low..... about the level of a refuse collector.

Ability has to be higher.

If the job was difficult every time the goal keeper lumped it up the field the players wold need to whip out their scientific calculator to assess speed, wind resistance and deviation, drag factors, gravity coefficients,  velocity etc etc.

If you can't find a player wearing the same coloured shirt, if you can't find a position in front of the ball, if you can't kick it hard enough to reach its destination..... bugger off and empty the bins.

I think your user name puts it in a nutshell.

FUA.

It's a privilege to be a professional footballer in many respects. All the fans would give their right arm just to play for 45 minutes and/or score at the Bycars End. Didn't we all dream about doing that when we were kicking a tennis ball on the school playground decades ago?

2 hours ago, eh up nah said:

Wow! Are we really all thinking if you've got footballing ability then it's a doddle?

Only one of our squad ever dreamed of notching in front of the bycars.

The rest are here for the contracts. Sorry, but that is the reality.

The reality is they are paid to do a job.  Not many of the players can honestly take much pride from their individual performances this season.  We have last seasons performances as a benchmark and too many have fallen way short this term.  They may not be bothered about scoring in front of the Bycars but you'd think they'd at least be playing for their futures, if not at Vale then elsewhere.  At the most basic level in any workplace the individuals need to perform in order for the team to succeed.
