What on earth does a ref do to become 'politically correct'? 😂

Best ref I ever saw was Mark Clattenburg. He really did make the effort to explain to players and his mannerisms and signals let you know why he'd made a decision. I felt he really considered he was part of the entertainment and wanted to keep the crowd involved in wha twas happening.

I fully agree, I was just confused about what being 'politically correct' had to do with bad/weak referees!

Thats good i think saturday is going to be very interesting.

will the squad bounce back and show askey wasn't getting everything from them

will theo and mckirdy be involved

What formation /line up will pugh go with

If on I'm looking forwards to the selection, also personally hope it's off, my weekend off I want to enjoy it and not have it ruined ,watching Vale at 10 pounds a pop when you brought two ten game vouchers at start of season is getting on me nerves aswell ,the last two I've watched were a insult to any one who pays watch them (Barrow Home atrocious ,Mansfield away worse than atrocious ).

My abiding memory of him, from that games, is following play from the Bycars end towards the Hamil, and, as he's running forward, arms stretched out wide, he's shouting, so loud that people in Burslem town centre could hear him..."Play on! Playyyy onnnnn…!" And I could imagine him taking a joke and having banter with anyone! Awesome ref, I always thought!

Well looks like this one will be on after all.

1st game under Pugh, players coming back from injury so its going to be interesting if we stick with JA's system or we do something different. The good think about tomorrow is the opposition will also have no idea how we will line up either so we might just catch them off guard doing something different.

Given the table its a must not LOOSE game tomorrow.

who will be the assistant manager ?

I was wondering that yesterday, not sure about today but if pugh gets it i wonder if Tonge would be asked? I know they are friends and Tonge was saying how Pugh would make a good manager the other day,not sure if he has his badges though. Other than that maybe Pope or Legge player coach?
