Just a thought - maybe a decent manager could find a way to get the best out of these two who both had decent scoring / assists last season and I assume signed on the strength of that?

Pep couldn't get the best out of Robinson

If Askey goes then you’d imagine it’s a clean slate for everyone.

Strangely Askey got the best out of Worrall after Aspin sent him to Coventry

There's no way McKirdy isn't talented enough to get into our side. It's down to the manager largely to get a tune out of him and/or keep him in check. Clearly he hasn't done that and he's responsible for that. If McKirdy was winning games for us, Askey would be getting praise left, right and centre for signing him despite his 'iffy' reputation. So it has to be said that, like most of his summer signings, he's got it all wrong.

If McKirdys that good why did Carlisle get rid ?

Who knows? What I do know is that despite not being a striker, he was their top scorer. Good luck getting 10+ goals out of Wizard Worrall from out wide.

Attacking the wrong player there. Worrall has the second most assists in all for divisions this year. If that isn’t good enough contribution then you’re never going to be happy with a player.

As an attacking player and often one of our front three he needs to score more. His scoring record is shocking.

Worrall is 2nd to Kevin de Bruyne in assists for 2020. He's tied with Bruno Fernandes. In all of English Football. All 92 clubs. He takes corners but Conlon takes free kicks. It's absolutely exceptional.

If you want that level of assists AND goals AND workrate, you're looking at a Championship player. To have player who is basically top 3 in all creative metrics (both open play and set pieces) in a side which isn't massively creative is brilliant.

We're lucky to have Worrall. Last player who deserves stick.

Two goals and nine assists this season. Who has done better?

Agreed. 9 assists. Already! In an awful team!

He's on course for nearly 20. I can't believe, of all the terrible performances we've seen recently, player of the season and league assist leader David Worrall is getting stick.

How many has he scored in his best goal scoring campaign? Again, he doesn't score enough goals. That's not an opinion, it's a fact. I never mentioned anything about what he does and doesn't bring to the team other than the fact that as often one of our front three players, he doesn't score anything like enough. He averages what, one goal every 10 games? Appalling.

As an attacking player and a front three player he does need to score more goals. His record as a goalscorer is shocking. He misses easy chances.

I have always said Worral is one of first names on team sheet but with our other wingers and our midfield we rely on the one man up front to score 25 goals for the play offs.

ALL the other forwards and midfield need to score more goals
