Didn't we sign Akpo Sodje from Darlington reserves?  Leon Constantine from Torquay's bench? Steve McPhee from Coventry reserves? They did ok for us as I remember.

He was bombed out from Carlisle! He may have been a marquee signing in your mind but not in many people's minds. He was the only one of a number of trialist wingers who'd sign for what we offered.

I wonder if McKirdy & Robinson have already agreed deals to leave hence why they weren't even in the subs bench as we didn't want to risk injuries on that pitch last night.

He isn’t my idea of one for sure, but he appeared to be Askey’s as we signed nobody better.

We did but both managers who signed them also had some right howlers. 

The best manager we had at picking up youth players from bigger teams was Horton. The best at signing them from smaller teams was Rudge. The one with the best hit to miss ratio was Rudge. Even Glover made some good signings alongside the average. The core of Adam's promotion side were signed by a mix of Sinnott, Glover and the crazy guy from Stockport; who first brought Pope to the club.
