JA and Co - not got any plans after plan A.

Says players will be dropped for the next match as they are not performing, so why not change the side at the 60 minute then.  No leaves it till the 86th minute.  Far to late for the player(s) coming on.

Have no faith in the management staff now.  Not sure what the coaches are doing during the week.  Do the who staff actually speak to each other and discuss things.  Talk tactics etc.  If they do, is JA just ignoring their advice?

From day one his substitutions have always been around the same time, shows a complete lack of technical knowledge. The only time he hasn’t done this was a game at home last season when he was forced to make three substitutions before HT due to injuries and we won the game

We take a lead into the 2nd half.  Their manager makes 4 changes and win 4-3 and it could have been more for them.

What does our manager do.  Takes Pope off and then makes 2 changes in the 86th minute.

Wish JA and Co would explain what match he watches to come up with these tactics.

Tried to stay positive he would change it around, but not now.

And that's my biggest issue with Askey. If plan A doesn't work then he just closes his eyes and hopes for the best. I don't know if he's too scared of change, to makes changes, or whether he's just stubborn and too set in his ways.

Team know exactly what we will do during games, regardless of whether there's actually a few chances to the personnel. He's  bloke that will come into a club that in a rocky phase and help steady the ship, but that's it. If you want to actually make progress then clearly he's not your man.

Can’t see having 3 injured every game being a sustainable plan

Its easy for folk to dish it out on here but if you were actually the one who has to do it...

This is the hill you want to die on? Really? For 85th minute subs, for no plan B, for a 'must be ex Macc' transfer policy, and for not knowing what 'proactive decision making' means? Really?

We must be more attractive to out of work managers now who would drop down a couple of leagues with our new owners.  They have changed the club around totally.

If they do sack him, please don't get someone who is connected to the Vale at the moment or previously.  We need someone with no connections at all to the club.

Hounded out by Sunderland fans because he was so negative?

He wins promotions. Sunderland are looking to get into the Championship. I just want to be in the top 7 of League 2, and then out of this league. Sunderland are in annual crisis.

He did it with Bradford and Bolton. Maybe it'll be turgid going at times but if we can nick some 1-0 wins it'd be a damn sight better than this current weekly circus being offered up.

That's the thing; we're well-run with good, respected owners and a lot of potential.

Lower league managers will be fighting each other for a 2 year contract here, as will any bright up and coming young coaches.

If people think John Askey is our peak at present, then you're underselling the potential of this club.
