A very timely reinvigoration of this thread.

Marcus Rashford has been subject to vile racist abuse online today.

There is still a long long way to go... why anyone would be against players making a statement that they are not ok with it is beyond me.

Because it's their choice not to be ok with it and make a statement to that effect. Just like the players have the right to make their statement.

I don't agree with the racial abuse, that's a different matter.

There is no relationship/connection/association etc whatsoever (Apart from the 3 words) between the statement "Black lives matter" which the vast majority of people would agree with and the marxist, anti-family, anti-Police and anti-capitalist organization "Black Lives Matter".

There is at least one brave footballer who understands the difference and doesn't take the knee.

Disinformation from Paul as usual.

Balance perhaps.I'm sure there would be many people interested in why the other fourteen players in the match decided not to take the knee?

Does it make Anthony Watsons view point any less relevant that this additional interview wasn't done?

Does it make his feelings any less important?

Or are his views on it not important enough to be heard? That might be one of the reasons he is taking the knee... you might just be proving him right.

The Daily mail doesn't print the opposite view to its nonsense Brexit and BLM reporting... but no doubt you will happily read that and nod along.

Perhaps, easier for the Guardian to interview one of the sixty players of the other four teams, who also decided not to take the knee last weekend. You know just to get the view of the majority of players.

Of course they won't do that will they?

Fairs fair,no double standards.
