<ovf censored> Hell he’s boring and uninspiring.

I think thats really unfair Dave.

I have questioned JA for a few weeks and said last Saturday he needed 4 points from Stevenage and today. If not he needs to go but I think his calm "boring" manner loose/win or draw is a strength.  I thought this really helped us when he took over the club with our confidence shot, we looked absolutely doomed. We only see what JA wants you to see outwardly. We have no idea how he really is in the dressing room to find out if players find him inspiring.Given the longevity of his career and promotion on his cv, saving our club to be a Chesterfield then I would suggest some players do find him inspiring.

Having said that I will say the same thing I posted a few games back post interview. He sounds like a beaten man who doesn't know how to turn this around... thats why I want him to go.

When you’ve calmed down Carol and co, please could you make a statement to the fans via the press as to what your plans are regarding the on field situation.

I am actually pleased she stays quiet look at the total opposite in Gorm... its a refreshing change imo, when she needs to say something on the matter then i am sure she will

I am a believer in continuity where possible. Up until 5 league games ago few were seriously questioning JA's position. The players are clearly, to me, still playing for him, and we haven't turned into a p1ss poor team overnight. What goals, today, can you seriously blame on the manager? Their first was from Joyce (not a JA signing) not intercepting the ball in. Their second was an absolute comedy of errors that wouldn't happen again if that game was played another 99 times. Their third was poor defensive positioning from monty and smith (neither JA signings). Yes, JA has his flaws, but name me a manager who hadn't. It's through sheer persistence and patience that we'll get through this. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but I genuinely don't think changing the manager is the answer. I'm entitled to my opinion as much as you are yours

Absolutely spot on. Completely agree.

A lot of fans are this forum are too impatient.

Listen to him after the game literally most lack luster manager ive ever seen. Honestly how is he inspiring the players and getting there confidence up hed struggle get jimmy saville motivated in a playground

What has how Askey talks to the press after a game got to do with how he motivates his players? Unless you know a player or a source to say otherwise you don’t know that the players are not motivated by him.

They were pretty motivated this afternoon and but for some schoolboy defending we would have either won or got a draw. The players are making errors but they are certainly not unmotivated. Not from the game I watched this afternoon.

Never said you weren’t. That’s why I asked as I genuinely wanted to know.

Personally I don’t see how anyone can defend him. He picks the players, he’s signed the players (well the not very good ones). I still don’t think we’re a good side. Certainly not to the level some thought we were. We’re not a young side and many of our better players are probably in there last season at this level. For me his signings have been nothing short of woeful. Tactically I don’t mind the 433 and it worked last season however there is no plan b. He never replaced Taylor.

You say he has no blame today but he does. Yes their goals were from some shocking errors. But askeys subs were poor yet again. When amoo is injured pope or even Cullen should have come on, move Rodney out wide where he is better. But no. Left it far too late to actually make changes again. I could also argue that Monty wouldn’t score from his shot if he tried it another 99 times. We’re a poor side and that’s down to the manager who has had transfer windows to improve the side and hasn’t. He really is starting to get to me in his interviews now. So lifeless and dull, it’s never really bothered me before but as we continue to get beat be seemingly everyone I expect to see a bit of passion but no.

Where are we 13th / 14th something like that. And every side below us has at least 1 game in hand some with 3! Out of the fa cup in the 1st round to a pub side. 6 losses in a row.

Not sure when it becomes the managers fault? For me I would have got rid after Tuesday. I don’t think askey knows how to turn this around and he should definitely resign / be sacked after today imo.

Maybe through patience we could get through it. Maybe through patience and keeping the manager of a side who’s lost 6 in a row we will get dragged into yet another relegation battle in the basement of English football.

If we have any ambition as a club he has to go.

6 losses in a row. 2 to second bottom. 1 to a pub side. Only 2 goals from open play in those 6 games.

How the hell are fans being inpatient? We’ve been at this rubbish level for years and been told by the club that they won’t be finishing 8th this season. We’ve been told we apparently have a strong squad full of options up top.... we are weaker than last season and going backwards. If anything fans are showing patience. He needs to go

Do you think we'll make the top 7 this season?

I have no idea where we will end up finishing. We are in November and the season finishes in May. Why is it that we have to finish in the top 7? We haven’t finished in a playoff spot for over a decade. What is wrong with building a team gradually and winning promotion. I am not being negative just a realist. There are 24 teams all wanting the same thing. We are not entitled to anything.
